Provecta® II Flea Treatment for Large Cats Over 9 lbs, 4-Month Supply

This stuff really works. I had a terrible infestation of fleas on my cats and dogs. I put it on them at 9 last night and at 6 this morning I started combing everyone and the fleas are dead or dying. It works better than the expensive stuff especially if the fleas in your area have become immune to other treatments. One of my cats has a terrible flea allergy and he is not scratching at all and seems to be better this morning. Definitely recommend. It's a smaller tube than other spot treatments which makes it easier to use.

Had a terrible flea infestation..1 of my cats got out. Everything I bought didn't kill them. My friend who works for a veterinarian told me about these she was right so much cheaper than 40 dollar and they worked quick. I've bought them twice now. Still happy! No more fleas! These are the best and believe me I tried them all on my cats and brothers dogs. In twxas we had a horrible flea infestation due to drought and not enough winter last yr to kill the bugs. Fleas where everywhere. As always I treat my yard as did my brother but we still had fleas in our furry friends. In the future this is all I'll buy. The Amazon basics are ok. I used as a follow up due to iut if stixk in these and they seemed to work well also! Good luck with ridding the pest on your furry friend and this will keep them away. Apply high on neck because they will kick ut off and you'll think product didn't work lol nope they are sneaky so kinda watch your pet for 24 hours so they don't kick off medication and it gas rime to sink in and work! Works pretty good if u can't take cat to get vet prescription meds. Not so much if cats has flea allergy. But still good

Read a lot of reviews for this product and it was a mixed bag. Did not work for any of my 4 cats! Switched back to Amazon basics for the topical flea treatment for my cats!

I had been using this medication for 5 months with no problems. I have 4 cats, two were using the 5-9lb and the other two used the 9lb+. Both the Provecta brand. This month(June, 2023) I went to put the medication on and only the two cats who were using the 9lb+ box had a severe reaction. This was a brand new box, delivered the day before application so it wasn't sitting out or old. Both of my cats had a red irritated patch directly where the medication was applied, since it was between their shoulder blades there was no way the cats could've caused the damage themselves. Within days the patches started spreading throughout their body and caused them to be lethargic. They both had to be prescribed steroids and still aren't themselves. However, my other two cats who had the 5-9lb box had no reaction. I don't know if they decided to change the ingredients in just the 9lb+ box all of a sudden or if they made a mistake with just the one box I received, either way I am furious. I feel extra guilty because they always hate when I apply the tropical medications so I thought nothing of it when they were trying to get away while I was applying the Provecta. Turns out they were actually in pain from it burning their skin, so my poor babies were suffering while I thought it was helping them. I thought I had finally found an affordable flea medication that worked against the vicious fleas in Florida and even recommended it to my fellow cat owners. Unfortunately, I was wrong and this is what I get for being cheap.
