Started leaking 3 months after I installed it
This unit started leaking 3 months after I installed it. Brown rusty water all around the base. I checked the supply host connections and they were dry. My previous one lasted 1 year. I thought that was short but I was willing to try another one. No more!

Adequate for washing hands and small demands
My kitchen sink is far enough away from my primary water heater that I installed one of these to create instant hot water, then carry over long enough until hot water arrives from the primary water heater. While this does provide instant hot water (when installed AT the sink) it only provides a few seconds worth of hot water. What this results in for my situation is instant hot water, then lukewarm water about seven seconds later, then finally hot water from the primary water heater about 30 seconds later. If you are using this for just washing hands or other quick tasks, this will work great. If you need more than a few seconds of hot water, this little water heater will struggle to fulfill that demand as the hot water dies off pretty quick. Thankfully this water heater does have a quick recovery rate, about two minutes. So quick, intermittent hot water needs could easily be fulfilled by this heater. When not in use, the heater runs for about 90 seconds every 3-4 hours, so it is very light on the electrical usage when idling.
