Yep, makes my microwave popcorn taste more like movie popcorn
A little finer than regular table salt, I had a saltshaker that I put the flavacol in to help with the even distribution rather than just pouring it out. Adapt it to your taste, a little goes a long way but man does it make your popcorn taste good!

Love this!
My hubby makes popcorn several times a week the “old fashion way” in a pot on the stove ~ we have used this product for years and love it!

Meant for kettles but can be used for other methods
Oops- I didn’t read the product description carefully when I ordered this, so didn’t realize that it is meant to be used when popping corn in a big kettle like they have at the movies. The first time I used it I simply used as salt and it didn’t add much flavor. After reading the instructions on the container, I decided to try using it in my usual popping method- popping corn in a paper bag in the microwave. I got better results using it this way, although didn’t quite get movie theater level of flavor- but I was also hesitant to add too much and make it too salty. I think heat helps release the flavor, so a traditional popping method is going to work best for this product. Still, it ups my popcorn game even for my microwave method- so I’m happy enough with it- especially because it’s impossible to even find basic popcorn salt in my local stores.

Just Like At The Movies!
The only popcorn I ever liked has been the popcorn at the theater. No pop-it-yourself at home ever measured up to that golden saltiness of movie popcorn. Now I know the secret - it's Flavacol's Popcorn Seasoning Salt!We always use a heavy pot with lid and the stove top method for popping, so I have added a bit of this seasoning salt to the oil before putting the popcorn in. Then we sprinkle a bit on the HOT popcorn in our individual bowls so everyone can adjust their salt preferences. Perfection.I figure 2 lbs of this seasoning salt will last us a good long while so the value is a WIN!Take some of this camping!Recommend x 10

Yikes, it's super salty, it took a couple trys to get it right.
The media could not be loaded. Well my first time was a complete fail. As you can see from the video, the pour was way too much. The popcorn came out super salty, inedible, had to toss the whole bowl out. However, I did not rinse the top to the popcorn maker. Instead I popped fresh popcorn again in the oil only and replaced the top to the machine with the left over salt stuck to it. Turned out great that time. The popcorn that clung to the sides of the top removed just enough salt on each piece to make them taste great. So lesson learned, less is more, alot less. Trial and error I guess and also you'll have to adjust for your salt preference.

For Movie Theater Popcorn Taste
This flavored salt is key if you are looking to replicate movie theater popcorn at home! Pop you corn in a neutral oil with this salt added to the oil, wait for the kernels to pop, then enjoy! Or, for an easier go at it, sprinkle a little of this salt on top of your plain, microwaved popcorn. Don't use it on pre-salted popcorn or else your end product will be too salty. I do not add butter because it coagulates as it cools but rather use a movie theater butter-flavored oil (which is what the theaters use) for the best tasting results. This flavored salt is fine in size and texture so you won't crunch into salt crystals as you eat the popcorn. And its fine consistency enables it to cling to the popcorn kernels without amassing at the bottom of your bowl.

use SPARINGLY
seriously, a little goes a LONG way. I put about a half a teaspoon in a huge batch of popcorn and it was almost inedible it was so salty - and, for reference, i ask for/put extra salt on my mcD's fries, i LOVE salt. also worth noting - it coated my teeth in a vivid orange-yellow film. It came off when i brushed, but it was horrendous to see in the mirror when i went to the bathroom a while after eating.
