Easily Add Remote Access to & monitoring of your Garage to your Smart Home
The hardest part was running the wires! The rest was trivially easy. In a nutshell, you plug the camera/control device in using a USB-C cable, add the device using the Eufy Security App, connect the control wires between the the device and garage door opener, test, and then mount and add a sensor module to the door that detects when it is open or closed. If you are controlling two doors, you will then connect the control wires between the device and the second garage door opener and add another sensor. Very easy and straight forward. Here are some installation tips:1. I purchased the two-door model, but it only came with one sensor. I had to purchase another ($20) and wait for it to arrive before installation. New kits come with two sensors, I believe, but you should check "what's in the box."2. You will have to plan to provide 5v power to the device. The USB-C cable that comes with the unit was a little over 9 ft long, but I wanted to mount the device about 13 feet away. I solved my problem by purchasing a 5 ft Anker Power Strip with 2 USB PowerExtend ports. This obviated the need for the 5v USB power cube that came with the unit; I simply plugged the USB-A end of the included cable directly into one of the Anker power strip's USB ports.3. On my Chamberlain Liftmaster garage door opener, there were red and white poles (screws) to connect the control wire to. I connected the red-stripe wire to the red pole and the white to the white pole, plugged the other ends into the device--doesn't matter which way the wires plug into the device--and it worked correctly on the first try. Be SURE to push the bare wire ends all the way into the terminals on the cameral/control device! I didn't, and when I was mounting the the device to the ceiling, the wires shorted and activated the garage door. This forced me to unmount the device and re-insert the wires, which was irritating. The exposed ends of the control wires are actually about 1/16 inch too long. BTW, the control wires measure a little over 19 ft and are stranded copper.4. I used an Arrow T2025 staple gun with 9/16” Round Crown staples. I used the 1/4" setting to tack down the Anker power strip cable, the 3/16" setting for the USB-C cable, and the flat setting for the motor control cable.5. Don't use the included 3M double-sticky pads to mount the camera/control device and/or the sensors. Instead, screw-mount everything so you never have to worry about the adhesive failing. So far, everything is working as advertised! Love being able to talk to my phone to tell it to open or garage door or the other without having to press a button. You have to set up a PIN to use with voice control.

Easy to set up, good video quality, reliable connection, and surprisingly useful garage controller.
We had been thinking about adding an online garage controller and camera so we can monitor the garage door and open/close it for delivery or friends, etc. Or sometimes we just don't want to bring the bulky garage remote with us. We are Ring doorbell users but we are put off by its unreliable connection and the subscribing fees for cloud storage). So when we learned that Eufy has local storage, we didn't hesitate to jump on the wagon. (I later learned in their app that they actually do have cloud storage, if you absolutely have to use that service).Below are some of the good things:(1) The installation and app set up is very easy. The camera and sensors are either magnetically stuck to the garage door motor or you can use the 3M sticker. The garage door controller wire is very easy to connect, just use a flat screwdriver. The manual is pretty clear, and it covers all kinds of doors and scenarios. The step-by-step app set-up was quick and easy. Everything is done within 15 minutes.(2) The app is very responsive. I can view the live video or the locally stored video without any delay. To open the garage door through the app is also very quick. The camera unit will play a warning sound when I attempt to open the garage door on the phone. I think this is a very nice touch. You can adjust the sound level of that warning so it won't be too annoying.(3) Human detection works well, but it generates too many notifications. So it is a good idea to turn it off when at home, but turn it back on when we are on a trip or something.I think the only issue I have right now is that sometimes the app does not fit the iPhone 12 mini screen perfectly. I guess that will be fixed in the update. Minor issue.

See my other review
Good set up works 98% of the time. Look for my other review on the package deal that I bought the control camera with 2 sensors. Video is pretty good and notifications are quick and responding from the app to open and close the door is pretty quick only issue is that you have to wait for the 1st door to finish it’s cycle before you can operate the 2nd door maybe that will get fixed with a future update. But all in all im happy i have alot of Eufy cameras of various types 11 so far

Worked for less than 18 months
I’m writing this review so others can at least know what they are going to get. For the last 18 months, the camera and sensor have worked fine. Then the sensor just stopped. Switched the battery, still nothing. Reached out the eufy support, was told the device was defective and there is nothing more they could do, but to “rest assured as we strive to make products you can enjoy for years.” Will definitely be switching to another brand.

Sensor came broken and door opens randomly. But otherwise it nice.
Like I said the sensor came broken and the garage door will open randomly maybe once a day. I hope they get this fixed or add an option to close the door automatically after a certain period of time. I do get a notification if the door is open but it’s still annoying. It’s nice to close the door and monitor it from my app though. It really is a good product if it didn’t have the opening problem. The sensor that was broken was only $20 so I just bought a new one and it works fine to tell me if the door is open or closed. Overall a good product that could be fixed with some software updates. I’m sure if I reported the sensor broken on arrival they would’ve sent me a new one.

Love Eufy products and this one is no exception.
Installation can be a little challenging for someone who is not technical but it isn't too bad at all. Video quality is good. Able to open and close garage door with no issues. Works well with the app.
