Wife has a pet addiction picked up from me being in army for 20 years....we have used expensive cheap plastic or metal and they all are a pian they all loose. Up they all break ...this is perfect inexpensive....easy to install and blocks out little dogs

I got this to separate an area on my patio for my dogs space and mine since she likes to pee on my outdoor carpet. It didn't even last a week. The plastic hooks it comes with don't offer enough support for the little elastic bands as they slip and fall off. The top portion was not able to be taut and was very flimsy at the top as well. I can't imagine this working for dogs or kids. My dog is barely 30 lbs and was able to destroy it.

This is NOT a desired product or result. There is a physical, WEAK barrier attached by a thin loop to a plastic attachment that is stick on, or screw in. This was the very reason I bought it, and for a visual "don't cross" for trained dogs, it works well.But even an untrained dog can and will push through this. If you are lucky and the clip/hook doesn't break or come off the attachment point, the mesh is so thin it will break/rip in short order.Mine is a service dog, but large breed. Belgian Malinois. Well behaved but still young and excitable. She see's the barrier and respects it. Most of the time. If she wants to get past and the desire overcomes the training, IE one of her family walks into the office, she will plow right through it and this wont even slow her down. Luckily that is a rare event, and she is well trained.I had anticipated a better quality material and hooks, but it IS exactly what I ordered and was not expensive. So buy with consideration to your REAL needs, not anticipated quality. It works for my dog. Most of the time.

they don’t stick to the wall and if they do they peel your wall paint

I gave this 4 stars because it does what I needed it to. There is about a 2-3 in gap at the bottom of the barrier. You can stick it to the floor and not have a gap. If sticking it to the floor, the adhesive may damage your floor. I like that the adhesive is strong. Mine is not. It pulled off my wall already with slight pressure and nothing happened to my paint. I’d rather it damage paint than my floor. However, regardless of how you set it up, clever pets and even babies can squeeze under. This is not meant to serve as a safety gait. This is just a barrier that can be broken! It serves the purpose I needed it for.

Mesh is durable and hooks attached are still working and holding up months later. Currently using this to keep our dog from wandering upstairs while we’re out of the house- works like a charm!

This is so slippery on wood floor!! It comes off the hooks super easy and is constantly just laying there. My kids have slipped and hurt themselves multiple times, and we only used it for a week or so! I would not buy this if you have anyone who is a fall risk in your house or if you want a quality gate that actually works

Ordered the baby/dog gate. Put on my deck railings to keep my little chihuahua from falling to the ground. Easy to install and it really gives me peace of mind when he goes out.
