Lock is not operational after 2 months of use. Cannot lock door using keypad buttons have to use manual key.

This deadbolt is simple to install and program. The features are useful, such as multiple codes and single use code. However a battery indicator light would be nice.

This keyless entry lock is sub par to others i have. It wasn't easy to set up and the use of the keypad could be easier. It's well made but I'd rather have it easier to use. It looks fairly nice. The battery life is pretty short. I will find a different one to use on my front door or go back to my old one.

I'm mostly pleased with this item. Installation was easy, setup was equally easy and fairly intuitive. Even without the instructions, the unit provides a voice-guided setup. Unless you turn that off I suppose, but to do that you would either have had to read the directions or wait for the guide to deactivate it...This is fairly easy to install, anyone that has installed any deadbolt before will be able to do so with this. Passing the wire through is easy, though a bit tricky to attach to the inside controller, as it is a ribbon cable with a push-on connector that only goes one way but is not marked in a way you would know unless you're familiar with such connectors, which I am.Programming is simple enough for fingerprint access. It failed me once or twice, but that was me getting used to placing my finger on the sensor. It is a Kwikset-keyed lockset, so you can either copy keys and reprogram your Smartkey setup if you have those.I set my self-lock timer to 99 seconds, as I discovered you can manually lock the door behind you by pressing the KingForce button instead of waiting the minimum 10 seconds. The only thing I wish for was a way to override the auto-lock, because if you leave the door open and it goes to a locked position and then you close the door, you'll destroy your door moulding.I am using Tenavolts 1.5 AA batteries because of previous power-hungry locks such as this. The batteries generally last a couple/few months this way, instead of eating up alkaline batteries.

I needed some help getting this installed because I wanted it done right. Once in it worked really well. No problems recognizing our prints. Looks good too. Safe and secure. Five stars no drawbacks.
