Meowant Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box, 75L Extra Large Open-Top, APP Control

Life changing! No more scooping or buying multiple litter boxes! I love the Meowant system. The litter box is quiet and runs a cycle after your cat uses it, leaving the litter clean, with virtually no odor. It is easy clean, and easy to remove the bag from the waste receptacle. I have two cats and change the bag twice a week. Meowant sells drawstring bags and deodorizing pods that work great, but you could use also use regular small plastic grocery bags to save money. I have already saved a ton of money on litter. In my opinion, this is the gold standard for busy families with multiple cats. The convenience and savings are well worth it.

I’ve had four Electric litter boxes. Of course starting out with the big $700 brand name. It broke after a while and I wasn’t into paying that much for another one. So this has been my favorite so far. It’s extremely quiet and I like the fact that it stays open the entire time. It would be impossible for a cat to get stuck in it if it failed and didn’t stop mid cycle with a cat moving. In fact this is my second one because I bought one for the upstairs as well. I like that it’s low to the ground so they don’t have to hop up into it. And it’s so easy to clean because the door is on the top of the litter unit not the bottom or side. I just use grocery bags in it and it works great. Highly recommend it

Upgraded to 4 stars after using a clumping litter made for an automatic box. No messy clumps left inside the box! This is my first self-cleaning litter box. The box needed to be able to fit in a small space. I have 3 male cats, two that are 1 1/2 years old and an 18 year old. We also have a manual litter box The litterbox was very easy to assemble. I'm not using the app and it works just fine without using the app. It is very quiet. All my cats took to it immediately. I'm using a budget clumping litter. My 18 year old pees alot and yes there are times when clumps are wet and do not make it into the waste area. I plan to use a clumping litter recommended for an automatic box. Hopefully that will help. I have been emptying the waste every 2 days. It's very easy to do that. Oder control is excellent using the deoderrizer that came with box. After 2 weeks I decided to clean the drum. That’s where things got difficult. The drum has so many crevices around the edges that are very difficult to clean. I suggest getting a stiff paint brush to brush out the crevices before rinsing the box. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. 3 stars for now but will evaluate again after using a better quality litter.

I’ve had my Meowant self-cleaning litter box since 2023, and it’s still going strong over 3 years later. It’s honestly been one of the best purchases I’ve made for my cats. The self-cleaning feature works great and saves me so much time. It also does an amazing job controlling odors—I barely notice any smell, even when the waste bin is full. It’s easy to clean, my cats had no problem using it from day one, and it’s been super reliable. I also want to give a shoutout to Meowant’s customer service. They’ve always been quick to respond and really helpful anytime I’ve had a question or needed a replacement part. If you’re thinking about getting a self-cleaning litter box, I’d definitely recommend this one. After using it for more than three years, I’d absolutely buy it again

Very nice self cleaning cat box but I have a few complaints. I have two cats (brothers about 10 years old) and never have I needed two litter boxes or them not use one due to the other. My cats are average size. I have one cat that will use this box no problem but another that won’t. I think it’s too small for him & it is rather small than any other box I have had. He will pee on the floor if the box isn’t clean and even changing the cleaning time to 5-10 mins he still didn’t want to use it. So I had to buy a normal litter box so that way he didn’t do that. My other complaint is the plastic piece that shifts the litter comes with a plastic covering so pee doesn’t get on it and sticks the litter to it my only issue is who is taking that covering off EVERYTIME the cat box has to self clean? My husband & I both have jobs & even still my cats use the box often so I don’t use the plastic covering cause let’s be real who is doing that?? So it gets caked up within a few days. Overall still easier to clean than the last self cleaning box I got & would be great if both my cats comfortably used it but i think if it was a bit bigger he would feel better. Update after 6 + months. For the price one from temu would have worked better. It is so finicky and when it doesn’t want to work you have to take it completely apart to get it back on. If his has been a haste the whole time having it and if I would have known I would have bought one on temu for half price like my dad did and not feel as defeated. Update in 2026. This litter box is a piece of JUNK ! and I wish I could rate it less than 1 star. It's plastic so naturally now it smells the whole house up. It holds oders like no other. The ease of taking the bag out is not worth the constant small of cat pee no matter how much I clean it. I have wasted 300$ on this piece of junk. It's very convenient for the first couple months but when you have to take it apart to hose it down and scrub it to try to get rid of the sell that really doesn't make my life easier. I wish I would of not bought this and just bought two stainless steel boxes instead. I'm going to replace this with a stainless steel box and just go back to manually shifting the litter and throw this in the garbage where it belongs

I actually love these! I was worried the 75L would be too small but it's actually quite large! I bought 2, one for the bedroom the cats like to be b in most and one for the living room. They had no issues switching to this! I love that it self cleans and I dont have to worry about the dogs getting into the cat litter box (soooooo gross)! Really happy with how easy it is to use and operate. The app that it comes with is definitely showing Some grammer use issues in a few places but I think it's so funny that the cats can't even take a poo without me knowing about it! 😂🤣 I was worried I wouldnt know as much about my cats health but truthfully, I absolutely know more! I will definitely be adding this to my Amazon store front!

The good: 1. The litter box does self clean (with some issues I will get into later). When working, the litter box will cycle after about 5 minutes and clean the box. 2. This litter box is much more accessible for our cat and seems safer than other brands (excluding litter robot). 3. It has an app? Some people might like this, I personally hated it (for reasons I will get into momentarily). 4. It does not require the app to clean, but will require the press of a button to clean. Still better than hand cleaning, but disappointing that it won't automatically clean without app. 5. Old litter is thrown in a closed area with a small trash can, helping reduce any problems with pests (flies, etc.). We have had this issue with other litter boxes, but that does not seem to be present here. The bad: 1. The app. The app is sketchy at best and I honestly removed it due to concerns over its security. Aside from this, the app did work for cleaning cycles, but did not track weight or anything else of that nature. 2. Cat information collection DID NOT work. It never once gathered the weight of our cat, nor did it track how often they used the bathroom. I would recommend against buying this if that is a selling point for you. 3. Questionable software control. The litter box seemed about 50/50 on if it would listen to the app. Pretty frustrating when trying to adjust litter removal cycles. I also found that the litter box would often start while my cat was inside it at night. I assume it was doing a nightly cleaning, but this concerns me when it comes to the safety of our cat. 4. The litter box seemingly doesn't do anything if not connected to the app. You can manually clean it with the button, but that's the extent it will go from my experience. Pretty frustrating considering the app itself is questionable. 5. Poop gets caught in the net quite a bit. This leads to poop just dangling above the litter, as it is not going in the waste bin. This isn't an everyday occurrence, but it does happen about every 2 weeks. Overall, the litter box is pretty good for the price. If you want automatic on a budget and are willing to deal with a sketchy app, this is the litter box for you. For people who would prefer more features such as cat weight, a better app, and better safety, I would recommend just getting the more expensive litter robot.

I have had a Litter Robot 3 for just over four years, and it has been relatively problem free (occasionally has faults, mostly due to me putting too much litter in). However, it is very tall and I have a kitty with bad hips and noticed him having difficulties getting in/out of the Litter Robot, even with the steps. So, when I saw an ad for the Meowant SC02, I was interested in giving it a try because it has a much lower entry. I finally got one and set it up, and my kitty immediately started using it. He can get in/out MUCH easier, to my relief. Some things I have noticed that I like better about the SC02 compared to the LR3: it is a bit smaller dimensionally; being a tiny bit narrower and much shorter so it may be a better choice if you need it to fit into a smaller space. It is FAR quieter; I can hear my LR3 cycling across the house but barely hear the SC02 cycling when I'm the same room. It also seems more sensitive to a cat's weight that the LR3, which sometimes did not register my kitty who is about 6.5 lbs and on occasion would start to cycle with him in it. The SC02 has no trouble sensing his weight so the risk of it cycling while occupied is significantly reduced. I like that the cycle time isn't limited to specific intervals, and there is more flexibility in programming. I also prefer changing the bin on the SC02 as I don't have to move the steps and pull a tray out from under it. The deodorizer seems to work better as well. I haven't been able to get it to calibrate properly, but it may because we have bare floors during a post flood remodel. Hopefully it will calibrate later on when the new floors are in. It is a bit odd that it doesn't have a power button and can only be power cycled by physically unplugging it. I have heard that the Litter Robot 4 offers the same features that the Meowant has over the LR3, but at more than twice the cost. This is a fairly reasonable price automatic litter box, and it is a safe design that doesn't have a closing mechanism that could trap or crush a cat. It also needs less litter than the LR3. I would highly suggest searching for the separate sifter with smaller holes as the one that comes with it has larger holes that allow waste bits to sneak past. All in all, highly recommend! I hope it lasts a while. Update: I added the above mentioned replacement sifter with the smaller holes as it seems more effective for small particle litter (I recommend leaving the original sifter in for larger format litter like pine), and also a snap on barrier on the bottom of the entrance because someone (and unknown one of my three kitties) peed out the opening more than once. These have definitely helped but the BIGGEST code cracked is how to keep it as clean as possible. Clumps were sticking to the inside of the barrel - just like they would do in my LR - and it was frustrating. So, I cleaned the surfaces really well, wiped down the interior with Armor All and then wiped off the excess, and switched to Arm & Hammer Hardball litter. Not only does the Hardball litter clump tightly, so far none has stuck to the inside of the barrel AND it's a super soft litter which will be more comfortable for little peets.

Wow. Where have you been all my life? This was sooooo easy to set up and the app is awesome! Getting my cat who is 17.6 lbs was a bit of a chore to use but she did. I just went with the amazing videos on YouTube from Meowant and ideas. Let the sc02 sit beside her old litter box for awhile. She started to use both. One problem was my cat would not go all the way in. Meowant told me to be patient and she would venture further in. And she did. The smell is gone thanks to the added scent holder on the bag holder. The mat in front of the unit picks up all the litter on her paws which isn’t much and you can put the litter back into the unit. If you have tried the rest now try the best. Meowant got it right!

The basket fills up in a couple of days, the "supposedly" smart box is not smart at all, because the mobile app is not available in Apple Store nor Google Play Store. Definitely not worth the money for a plastic box. Manufeacturer refuses to support it, seller rejects the return. THIS IS A SCAM
