Good churro maker
We bought this for churros making. Does the job. Normally one needs to remove the air from the churros, if not, when you start to fry them, they explode. Unfortunately, we learnt that too late (burns and churros in the ceiling 3 meters from the floor). We got traumatized and we decided to buy a proper churrera that removes most of the air. Now we can fry without using a pan cover as a shield and without fear in our lives. We are ready to get fat every weekend from now.

A little difficult to use this device. Would not recommend it.

A sturdy home churrera
Bought to help us pretend we're in Spain instead of lockdown! This is about as cheap as you can find an all-metal churrera. We didn't want a plastic one because the dough is fairly thick and I can't imagine plastic would hold up over time. This one feels sturdy. It comes with eight different nozzles for churros, biscuits and even one for making spaghetti. It's very easy to set up and operate. The main mechanism is a ratchet that pushes the dough through the nozzle when you press the handle - like a caulking gun. One full cylinder produces about 2 feet of the classic churro shape.I tested the metals with magnets. The handle and rod are made of steel, I think the cylinder is aluminium, and the top and bottom are some kind of non-steel alloy. Costs have been saved with a slightly rough and ready finish overall (e.g. the bottom edges of the handle are quite rough), but I'll absolutely take that over other compromises. We were able to make much more authentic churros at home than you can normally find in the UK.This churrera feels like it will last a long time, it's small to store, and I'm excited to experiment with it's other uses. Very happy with this!
