Connex COXT700233 Interior Tape Measure, White/Red/Black, 3 m/16 mm

This tape did everything that was required for me which was a inside measurement of many situations such as window, door frames etc.

I don't think this will last long. I've had a Stanley tape for almost 30 years and it still goes right out to 5m and back without a problem. This connex tape has not been able to fully retract from 2.5m and always sticks at around 30mm. It feels cheap and 1 drop from a bench and it will be dead.The reason I bought it was for the window on top which is actually very good and easy to read. I will continue to use it for my workshop but wouldn't use it on a site.

Been using this almost 3 years and find it excellent. It’s the tape I most keep in my pocket and is fantastic for internal measurements, as long as you remember the scale in the window reads backwards. In case you’re not aware how this works, it has a scale on the back of the tape which shows up in the window on top and automatically adds the length of the body to your measurement, hence it’s great for internal measurements. I also much prefer an all metric tape as it’s much easier to take measurements from the top or the bottom. I don’t frequently use it for measurements where I can’t hold both ends of it, preferring something larger.

Had this connex tape for 5months will not retract. Only used it for light work.

This was my go to measure in the shop as it was so small and easy to use. I take care with my gear and have learnt from past mistakes with over stretching measures etc. I pulled this measure one day to around the 2.7m mark and I heard something disengage inside and that was its last action, it wouldn't retract again.I opened it to see if I could re wind the tensioned steel ribbon but could see the plastic slip which held the beginning of the spring steel was a little deformed and worn so even if I did manage to rewind it it wouldn't last unless I added epoxy etc. I couldn't be bothered but I won't buy again, Festool use this design too so I would stay clear of that one too.

Really good, clever, reliable measure that's especially great for internal measurements. The only negative against it would be that it's not exactly heavy-duty in terms of build, so it wouldn't be my first choice for knocking around a building site. For more light-weight use though, it's become my go-to tape measure.

Didn't even open the package ...it looks very fragile. Buying a Stanley instead
