I LOVE this scraper. I'm working on a furniture refinishing project and needed to strip 100 year old stain and varnish. This has worked beautifully, and significantly better than chemical stripper. No chemicals, no fumes, no issues. It has been amazing to be able to work on the project indoors without needing ventilation (for this step, at least). This is ideal for large, flat surfaces and can do some damage if you use too much pressure, at an angle, or try to scrape small, detailed areas. The blade is sharp, the handle is comfortable. I ended up unhappy with my first new coat of stain, and I used this again to remove it quickly, before it had even fully dried. Excellent value for the cost, in my opinion-- I stripped an entire furniture piece with it and the blade doesn't seem to have dulled at all. Easy to wipe clean periodically during the process. It's surprisingly lightweight, but effective. Honestly can't think of a basic tool I've been this happy with for a long time.

Strong and works well.

The blade is thick and durable. It was quite easy to clean so I haven’t had to replace the stock blade yet after hours of use.

This tool is excellent! The quality of the blade along with the ergonomic handle makes the job easy.

Good scraper. Carbide is soft, so have a flat diamond hone nearby. You can flip the blade, but you will be sharpening the carbide. Once it starts squealing and squeaking you are dull. That being said, it’s comfortable in hand. I’m using to scrape the finish in corners on oak stairs, but now, I’m scraping the whole stair, then sanding. Much faster. If it came with a harder blade, it would be 5 stars. If you use for latex paint removal, it’s perfect, still buy a flat diamond water stone.

Very handy, quickly removes top layers

This is the first time I used a carbide scraper to strip furniture. I found it sharp and easy to use.

Works great, comfortable and size just right, removes paint easily. Bought it for stairs project and this scraper is great for the first rough pass through. Will have to send afterwards for smoother finish.

Excelente producto

Aaaaaammmmmmaaaazing! I’ve been refinishing, pulling carpet and carpet glue for a year in our home. I wish I would have purchased this sooner. It takes thick glue off like nothing else!! It’s sturdy, dense and works GREAT! Great blade, great tool.

Good useful tool

This ergonomic carbide scraper works great for my wood refinishing projects. It removes old finish easily and really helps save on sanding time and stripping chemicals. A solid, efficient tool that makes the job much easier.
