Marky Ramone: Punk Rock Blitzkrieg

Great book!
Probably the most entertaining and most honest story of the Ramones written by their long-time drummer. This is full of great stories, honestly told and his fondness for ALL his bandmates is quite heartwarming when you read so much about the hostilities within the band. Marky comes over as a really decent man and he is upfront about his own battles with alcohol. Of all the Ramones books I have read (and believe me, I have read many) this is the one I have enjoyed the most and which I feel tells the band's story most believably. Really loved this book

Hey! Ho! Let's squabble!
Saw Marky Ramone when he was Marc Bell in the Void-oids, on the tour with the Clash. Fast forward eighteen years and I finally see the Ramones live, Marky on the drums. This is the interesting life of Marky Ramone and it is amazing how the Ramones lasted as long as they did. Johnny, Joey and Dee Dee didn't have a love hate relationship with each other, it was mostly a hate hate relationship. But they needed each other. Even though Dee Dee left the band he still contributed songs. A warts and all story. Loved this so much!Ray Smillie

We were a happy family,
This book is great from many perspectives. If you're a fan of the Ramones, it's a no brainer.....warts n all as they say. Fantastic insight into the mainly unseen side of the band - the in house fights, the music, the personalities. It's also an amazing reflection on Marky's journey. Well written and at a pace where it's possible to get inside Marky's written thoughts and put yourself into many of the situations he's writing about.Highly recommended.

Legendary
Lots in here I already knew as a lifelong Famines can but such a lot I never knew. Great to read about Marc's success before The Ramones and how he reinforces the importance of the band now. Yep, read this book in record time. Couldn't stop myself

FAB READ!!
Although i'm not a big Ramones fan,i heard an interview on a podcast, and had to buy the book.He really tells how it was,no holds barred! I found the book so interesting,i read a lot of rock autobiographies, and this ones up there with the best.Never wanted it to end.Hopefully,Marky will write more. 5 stars!

Surprisingly good and quite funny as well!

Interesting... but not enthralling
Decently written, pretty straightforward rock bio, with no major surprises (Johnny Ramone’s an arse, etc.). Could do with more drum-specific content.

Great book. A little dry at the start but I couldn't put it down. Loved it!

Best Ramones bio/auto bio
Out of all the Ramone bio's and auto bio's this is the best.Follows not just Mark's Ramone's career but also thoroughly looks at his career prior to this. Many interesting stories which have never been written about before.
