GameSir Kaleid Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One,Windows 10/11 & Steam, Plug and Play Gaming Gamepad, Transparent Video Game Controller with Hall Effect Joysticks/Hall Trigger

This controller is amazing, and I’ve been through pretty much all of the paces as far as controllers for Xbox goes. Elite Series 2, Scuf, Gamesir G7, modded original controllers, and even some PC controllers using an adapter. This beats ALL of them. The Elite Series 2 and Scuf are still the best for the “look and feel”, but as for the function, this controller is the best. The buttons are mechanical, which feel amazing to me. This difference means that instead of the button slowly depressing and then at some point making contact and giving input, a very specific amount of weight will make the button go down immediately, potentially giving you a tiny boost in reaction time. All of the buttons are mechanical, except for the home button, remappable buttons on the back, and the thumbstick buttons. Next, the thumbsticks and triggers. They are next level. The part you’re going to notice most is the thumbsticks, as you’ll be able to lower your dead zone in all games to zero or 1 without getting any drift. That is simply impossible on a normal thumbstick, since the standard margin of error for the dead zone of those style sticks is usually around 7%, meaning you’ll get drift in some direction anywhere under that number. Having no dead zone means every single tiny movement on the thumb stick is very accurate, allowing you to control recoil and aim better. Third, the look and feel of the controller is actually really good! As I said before, it doesn’t beat the Elite 2 or Scuf at all, but the clear plastic is surprisingly thick and has a quality feel. The mobo is on black PCB which looks nice. And the lights are an added touch, with a ton of customization, all the way down to making multiple color “phases” for one lighting profile so you can make all sorts of patterns and stuff. Overall, this controller is going to be the #1 all around controller in my books for a while, probably until Gamesir releases something else or maybe if Microsoft actually decides to make an Elite with hall affect sticks. We shall see There is, however, one critical flaw. On the current firmware, my controller sometimes turns my Xbox back on when I shut it down. It seems to happen intermittently so there may be a specific thing I’m doing that I’m not aware of, but that means it could probably happen to you too. The only way to stop this loop is by unplugging the controller. Furthermore, when the console is successfully turned off, the controller won’t wake the console up from sleep unless you plug it in. Pretty annoying but a price I’m willing to pay for a great controller. I’m hoping this could be fixed with a firmware update, but we’ll have to see.

I've had the GameSir Kaleid since December 2024. I love it. I love the micro-switch face buttons and the Hall Effect sticks. I mostly use it to play third-person shooters and action RPGs. I set my dead zones on the sticks to 0.0 and I have no drift. It's a wired-only controller but I'd rather have a wired controller than deal with batteries and the cord is a nice length. Because I wore the pads off of the thumbsticks on my previous Microsoft Xbox One controller that I used on PC (and my Xbox 360 controllers on Xbox360 before that), I also picked up some GameSir thumbstick caps when I bought this controller so I don't wear out my thumbstick pads. I've never actually used it without the thumbstick caps so I can't speak to how well the thumbstick pads wear. I find the controller very comfortable for long play sessions and so far it has held-up well to the stress I put on it. (I play a lot.) I've been thinking about ordering a second one for awhile--I buy things I like as though they're going out of style--so when I saw yesterday that Amazon had it for a lower price than I paid before, I placed my order for another one. There's nothing wrong with the first one, I just want a spare for the future. Aside from connecting it to a family member's Windows 11 laptop once to update the firmware on the controller when I got it, I've been using the controller on Linux Mint. The below information relates to my experience using the controller on Linux Mint. I'm using it via Steam Input on Linux Mint 22.2 to play Steam games. On Linux I currently have no control of the RGB, but it's fine; I just forget about it most of the time. I didn't buy it for the RGB, I bought it for the Hall Effect sticks and triggers, and the micro-switch buttons and D-pad. After booting my Linux Mint system, the Xbox logo button is not lit-up and the analog sticks on the controller are not detected until I disconnect it and reconnect it. Then the Xbox logo button lights up and the analog sticks are detected until the next reboot. (The other buttons, oddly, continue to work fine whether I re-plug it or not, it's just the analog sticks.) Linux Mint doesn't see the controller inputs outside of Steam (I might be able to fix that but haven't bothered since I don't play any games outside of Steam) but Mint does see the headphone/microphone jack on the controller as a sound device when the controller is plugged in. I often use it as my preferred headphone jack since the controller has a long cord. (Holding the M button while pressing the D-pad up or down adjust volume.) Anyway, it's a great controller so I'm buying a second one.

I got this as a controller to keep connected to my PC to replace my old XBone controller. I wanted to try something new and wanted it wired so I wouldn't have to constantly recharge batteries. So far I'm really enjoying the Kaleid. Time will tell if it holds up but so far it feels pretty sturdy. The app is simple to use and does it's job without getting in the way which I appreciate. You can also change the controller to 1000hz which is pretty neat! (Default it was set to 250hz) The sticks feel nice and responsive, they also seem to snap back to near perfect center without overshoot which is a problem my old controller had. Can't speak for the triggers as I have yet to try any racing games where they would benefit but just messing with the app it seemed to smoothly pick up the finer movements quite well. I like the feel of the face buttons, mechanical but with a slight squish to them. D-Pad is nice and clicky, same with the rear buttons. Gonna take me some time to get used to not accidentally pressing them but they are pretty naturally placed and easy to use. You can bind them to pretty much any button on the controller. (I went with the thumb stick buttons just to test them out.) Visually it looks pretty slick! I might have preferred a lighter color on the plastic to see the internals better and let the light shine through more but that's more a personal nitpick. The lights are really cool and come with several presets to choose from and they let you customize the colors. Heck, you can even animate your own lighting in the app if you really want. I'm not a massive RGB fan though and simply opted to turn them off for now. Only thing I could see being a negative for some folks is the cord length and the port that connects to the controller itself. The cord on its own is great, nicely braided cable feels sturdy if a bit less flex. The length is 6 feet which is fine for me but for most I would consider 10 foot cable to be the gold standard for those using it in their living room. As for the port the housing for it makes it inset, which on one hand makes it very secure and less likely to wiggle and get loose over time but on the other I could see it making finding a replacement cord a nightmare. A minor negative but something to consider. Overall I am very happy with the controller and if it lasts I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this brand in the future because I am very impressed so far with the value on offer.

If you're a PC user, please update the controller before attempting to use it, or you may face a disconnect/reconnect issue. However, you really should do so, because this controller far exceeds a lot of other controllers of its class. My biggest problem has been snapback, the control stick flicking in the opposite direction momentarily when released. For the first time in years, I've found a controller that doesn't do it without having to completely destroy the inner dead zone of the sticks. This was tested on Monster Hunter Rise, a game that's been infamous for difficult detection, and I had to force it to happen for it to happen. Lifetime of the sticks, it's too early to tell, but Hall Effects get a good rep for a reason. Buttons are responsive and quick, with a nice satisfying click to them that never gets old. Both triggers and bumpers are solid, with triggers having a software hair trigger mode that turns them analog. Very nice indeed, though a bit unusual of a choice. Perhaps a cost-cutting measure, against creating limited trigger movement? The D-Pad is serviceable, not really for fighting games but it does fine for choosing options as need be. There is an option to swap the stick reading to the D-Pad in the app, which is an interesting choice to make that I'm glad does exist. The actual software is very low-impact, functional, and non-intrusive. You can remap everything you need to remap in it and adjust your choice of LED and then it's gone, out of the way, and easily forgotten - and that's how I like it. Too many gaming companies' software are just garbage bloatware that barely functions. In, settings, out, and done. It's really how it should be. Either this controller deserves to be more expensive, or the rest of them need to come off of the price a bit. I'm pretty sure it's the latter. Need yourself a good PC controller? Start here.

I just got the GameSir Kaleid controller for Xbox, and I’m pretty happy with it. After switching out the joysticks for some Scuff thumbsticks—long one on the right, medium on the left—it feels way better in my hands. The GameSir SE was a bit cramped, but this one has way more room, which is nice for longer gaming sessions. I’ve tried a bunch of controllers, including the Xbox Elite Series 1 and 2, PowerA Fusion Pro 1 and 2, and the Razer Wolverine V1, and I can say the Kaleid is a solid pick. The back buttons are super useful, and those hall effect joysticks are smooth, especially with the RAW mode in the GameSir app. The lighting looks cool, but if that’s not your thing, it’s no big deal. One thing I had to do was update the firmware to unlock the polling rate options. If you want to switch between 1000 Hz and 500 Hz, you have to connect it to your PC, since you can’t do that just through the Xbox. I tried using the 1000 Hz polling rate, but I ran into some ghost pressing on the left back button. It was acting like I was pressing it when I wasn’t, which was annoying. Switching back to 500 Hz fixed that issue, though, so just keep that in mind. Another thing I noticed is with the triggers. When I press them down, there’s a bit of friction that I didn’t feel before, and when I let go, they touch the inside of the controller, which is kind of annoying since it used to be smooth. Overall, if you liked the GameSir SE, the Kaleid is a nice upgrade, especially if you’ve got bigger hands. It’s comfy, works well, and you get some great features without dropping a ton of cash.

Totally worth it. Better than console brand controllers in every way. Be sure to download the Gamesir nexus app and update the firmware and you won't have any issues. You can also calibrate the joysticks and triggers easily in the app. My primary use is only on Windows 11 gaming PC. Pros: - Responsive and spam able x,y,a,b buttons. - Triggers and joystick can be calibrated to avoid dead zones via the Gamesir Nexus app - Triggers are accurate as advertised. You can even test it in the app, down to 1% pressure/usage. - Price is better than overpriced console controller - LED's look great - USB cord is long - Great vibrations. Just as good as console controller. No noticeable difference. May even be better. Cons (if any): - I personally don't like buttons behind the controller which I accidentally hit while holding but is an added feature that some people may find use. - Can be a new experience for those used to console controllers. Not sure if these buttons are exactly mechanical but they are as responsive. Some may confuse this with cheap feeling (chiclet style?) x, y, a, b buttons.

TLDR Best under $60 wired controller on Xbox, way better than the stock Xbox controller. FACE BUTTONS All mechanical except for the 'home' button. This really helps know you have clicked a button all the way, which is harder to tell on a membrane button. If you have never used mechanical buttons before, you have to try it to see how much better it is than membrane buttons. THUMBSTICKS Hall effect sticks, way more resistant to drift than regular potentiometer sticks. If you use a controller a decent amount, a regular potentiometer thumbstick will eventually drift, causing you to have to keep moving up your deadzone. Hall effect sticks don't have that problem because the sensor doesn't rely on friction. Hall effect should be the standard going forward. I use after market thumbsticks, not like kontrol freeks where you can just stick the tip on. But literally the thumbstick plastic that goes on the thumbstick module directly. For this I had to open up the controller with a T6 screw driver, (don't forget the screw under the bottom sticker). But if you do this you will probably void warranty. You can use regular Kontrol Freeks if you want, using the PS4/PS5 size, however I change out the thumbsticks completely to make it more like an Elite Controller. I use the ExtremeRate thumbsticks specifically. The one suggestion I have for Gamesir, is to make interchangeable thumbsticks in the future. This is literally the only feature missing imo. THUMBSTICK GATE The part where the thumbstick rubs up against the shell also has an anti-friction ring, which is an improvement over the original Kaleid and standard Xbox controllers. If you don't have this anti-friction ring your thumbstick stem will wear out eventually, which you don't have to worry about now. SHAPE The shell of the controller closely resembles a standard xbox controller. This is better than the Gamesir G7, as the handles are slightly more flared out on the Kaleid, which is more ergonomic for your wrists. WIRED This controller is wired and uses a USB C which is great. I only play wired anyway, so I don't have to worry about batteries. Where the cable inserts into the controller is also recessed a little to provided the cable end a little more protection which is a really good touch. TRIGGERS Really great, pretty much like standard Xbox controller. SOFTWARE Download the Gamesir Nexus app from their website and has all the typical customization, like remapping and color choice. Really good, no complaints.

Compared to the original Xbox controller this thing feels cheap. I haven't had any issues with stick drifting yet though after two months so that is an upside to this controller. I noticed some design flaws, though. One being the left trigger gets stuck sometimes when you press it and you then have to press the side of it to get it unstuck. The first time this happen i heard a cracking sound. So don't know if something broke or what, but the controller works perfectly fine, and there are no cracks that can be seen and it's only done this twice in the two months of owning it, the second time it happen, it didn't make the cracking sound. Once while playing Rocket League a week or so after buying it and then once again while playing Fortnite about 5 days ago. It doesn't happen nearly enough to be something that i worry about, but it does the cheapness of the controller and makes me worry about the longevity of it.. The other design flaw is that there is a huge gap between the sticks and the housing. Allowing hair etc to easily get inside your controller and being a see through controller this is not the best thing. You end up being forced to look at hair inside the controller if you turn on the lights that are inside the controller. So you are pretty much forced to turn them off if you don't wanna look at it anymore. I feel like the sticks and the housing should have less of a gap so that this doesn't happen so easily. That is about all the issues that i've noticed so far after a little over two months. It's a good controller, but held back by a few issues. I wouldn't pay $50 for this controller again to be honest. If you can get it in the $30 range. I would pick it up. Hopefully MS makes a controller with HE sticks as they feel way higher quality, but are not worth the money when they stick drift after a few months.

Love GameSir controllers, replaced by Xbox ones as I must be very unlucky as all of them kept disconnecting. Very comfortable and high quality, works great

First problems: xbox bottom is constantly flickering and it's annoying. 2: the had courtesy to put and xbox ultimate game pass inside but it's region locked to USA and i can't redeem it Now good things: the most beautiful game controller that i had, it's plastic but it doesn't feel cheap. Bottoms are tactile and very responsive. If you come from xbox controller it's going to take time to use to new hall effect sticks. On xbox my sensitivity was 70 with this is on 20 and still feels faster. I'm happy with my purchase hope it works for long time and next time guys put game pass inside that we can redeem not a regional locked one

I was recommended this controller by an American i play Division 2 with on the PC, and i assumed it was a 'Turbo Fire' type of controller, as in, you just hold the button down and semi-automatics like pistols and rifles would fire like fully automatics do. Sadly, it's not that type of 'full auto'. Forget about the LED lighting. It's nice, but it's not what you're using to play your games. It's just a nice touch. I have mine set to 'solid white' which of course as with any other LED lighting, gives off a very light blue tint, which is fine. My only issue is with the software. The controller still works as it should without the software, but if you want control lighting and set trigger options, and just see what is actually going on, you need the software. Not everyone has a Microsoft store account, and not everyone can get around downloading the files from their own site and cobbling it together. I downloaded it from their site first, and it didn't work. The program wouldn't start at all. Then i tried it from the Microsoft store, and again, it didn't work. Then for some strange reason, i booted up my computer, and all of a sudden, it works. I don't even know LOL With everything up and running, i have to say, depending on how long it lasts of course, if it meets expectations, then i'd buy another one of these controllers instead of an Xbox controller. Also i have to say, for a "Made In China" product, to not be put off by this at all. It's very well made, and i have to also give credit to the sticks, triggers and buttons. Compared to an Xbox controller for PC, this beats the Xbox controller easily. The lentgh of the cable is great too, i actually can just sit back in my chair, which is around 7ft away from the big screen TV, and not worry about the cable one bit. This whole idea of people being wary of products "Made In China" has always been silly. It has nothing at all to do with China or the Chinese folks. Instead, it has everything to do with the Western companies who order things to be built in China to whatever specifications they desire. The complaints everyone has about products made in China, only exist because companies are the ones cutting corners, ordering products to be built with lower quality parts and materials. and that's that.

Muy bueno y no sufre de drift

This controller is very good, it got really everything u need. The sticks are smooth but not floaty which is amazing in a budget controller like this one. No trigger stops sadly but u can use the hair trigger mode. the triggers are amazing and i didnt know this but the triggers has a semi adaptive triggers thingy going on like on the ps5 dualsense with some motor vibration unit in them which blew me away when i found out about it while testing because the description for this controller doesnt mention anything about it. good back buttons aswell although i might find myself clicking them by accident from time to time but its no biggie. And obviously the RGBs are amazing with different effects and modes.
