This is a great book for medium and short circular walks on Dartmoor

Bought to replace an earlier edition that had got damp and subsequently gone mouldy.This book is an ideal companion for anyone walking on Dartmoor.

Brought this book last week and with the weather being good today I headed out to complete walk no.8 Beardown Man and Wistmans wood. It was an excellent walk and the book was spot on with its directions (as a novice navigator) straightforward and easy to follow. Also think the extra bits of information about the area are great! Looking forward to walk no.11 next week. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to explore Dartmoor

This was a present for my daughter. I live in Dartmoor. And zi really lime this book. It should ideally be used with an OS map. Would recommend it.

Excellent walking guide to Dartmoor. Although this new edition has the same routes as in edition one, the authors have added new photos and access information and have clarified walk descriptions where necessary. My original (first edition) copy had a lot of use so it is great to have a new edition. The descriptions are clear and each route has OS mapping to guide you. GPS information is included and those all-important recommended pubs or refreshment places are included on some routes. This is the best walking guide to the area I have seen, and there are routes for a range of abilities and of varying lengths/distances.I like the info bars at the start of each route so you can quickly see the route's difficulty, length/time taken, ascents and descents etc.
