Good Value and Hopefully Rat/Squirrel Proof
I bought one of these to replace a plastic tumbler compost bin that a rat or squirrel had chewed its way into. I never found the tumbler effective and to allow clearance for it to revolve it could not be tidied into a corner so I was about to build a concrete walled bin when I found this on Amazon. For just £40 I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Although simply constructed it looks neat and the lift-off lid is definitely more convenient than the fiddly screw top lid on the tumbler. The rubber lid is quite heavy and hopefully weighs too much to be prized open by a squirrel or to blow off in a storm, only time will tell. The only drawbacks I can see are that a compost bin is preferably insulated to encourage decomposition and the ventilation holes will let in mice. I should add that I was so impressed with the bin I ordered a second. However this, unlike the original was very shoddily built, such that the access door at the bottom just fell off, not having the wrap around slides as in the original bin or as depicted in their advertisement. Furthermore in bending the door to try and make it fit better one of the handle spot welds popped, albeit easily drilled and riveted. To their credit Keto Plastics replaced this bin without quibble and I would have no qualms about getting another from them, maybe for the greenhouse. Keto Plastics assured me they will be checking their stock but just in case there other rogue bins in the system, I attach a picture from the good bin to show how the slide should be. All in all these bins have saved me from trying to build a pair of rat proof bins, which would have cost me more in materials and time.

Will do the job
The compost bin arrived late minus the shovel a quick email via amazon and the shovel arrived three days later. The bin quality needs some work. The rivets on door slides had not been riveted over but pushed through punched out holes that had left the punched metal still attached to the slides. A few self tapping screws sorted the runners out. Zoom in on the bin photo and you can see the sharp edges on the ventilation holes, a 40 mm flap wheel soon sorted this out. Bin lid needed sharp rubber casting bits removing. The compost Bin is now perfect for my needs a good size for a small garden looks good, should last for ages, the bin lid fits well and should not be blown off easily, Door works well and should keep out any vermin. The galvanized steel is a good thickness and makes it a solid yet light enough to move into position. Would I buy another one YES it was worth the work.

Easy to use especially in a paved garden
We have a paved garden and as we rent I didn't want to leave any marks in the paving. I have this on two slabs to be safe. And as a seasoned composter it already smells like compost is forming.I love this so much hoping my friends or fam will buy me another
