Spice Things Up
This powder is a beautiful bright red, just as it should be. The flavor is warm and bold. I used them on my deviled eggs and they turned out so delicious. You get a good amount of product in the jug.

Great hot flavor
This is not cayenne pepper, the label just says "hot chili pepper" and cayenne is a specific kind of pepper. All that said though I didn't need this to be cayenne, it is just a great hot chili powder I can add to tacos and soups. It blends in easily, it is a nice fine powder and you get a lot for the money in the jar. I like that the lid is dual sided with a shake flap and a spoon out flap. The only way I would like it more is if it was organic and came in a glass jar.

Labeled differently not hot
I bought for cayenne. The label I received said chili powder and it is not hot at all. This is a problem since I purchased it to add heat to my dishes. Won’t buy again

Seal broken. Hot Chili Powder instead of Cayenne
First, the seal on this was broken. I took a chance and tried it but they should change the way they seal these as this is the second spice from this brand that was not properly sealed. My main issue is that I ordered Cayenne and this is labeled Hot Chili Powder. It's possible they mean the same thing in their eyes but in mine, they're 2 separate things. The spice I received has good heat but not exactly sure if it's Cayenne or a mix.

Good flavor but seal was broken, plus is it Cayenne or Chili powder?
I have gotten a lot of different spices from Eastanbul and they all have been great, the company always gives you a large jar, much more than most supermarket brands. This "Cayenne Pepper" is no different, large, nice aroma and good flavor, I shook a bunch of it onto a burger before cooking. After cooking the burger smelled good and you could really taste the spice, but it was not particularly "hot". Probably because I put all the seasoning on the outside where it was against the hot pan. This usually mellows out the "hotness" of most spices (including ones like Tabasco sauce) and deepens the flavor. If you want something more "hot" try mixing the spice into the burger meat.Unfortunately, I also some problems with the product which is why I took off two stars.First thing, as other reviewers have said it's not clear if this is Cayenne or "Hot Chili Powder" Chili powder would be a mix of spices and Cayenne would be just one. The listing says Cayenne but the bottle says Hot Chili, which is it? It doesn't look like a mix so it's probably just Cayenne, but I'm not an expert so I'm not sure.I have a lot of Eastanbul spices and MOST have been fine but this Cayenne had a bad packaging problem. The inside of the Amazon envelope had Cayenne powder all over it and the outside of the jar and the lid did too. There was also a tear in the lid of the safety seal near the edge. If you get a jar like this be sure to clean it off well and wash your hands as it can be really painful to get Cayenne in your eyes.Looking at this, the jar was not damaged and the lid was screwed on tight, so my best guess is they had some problem in their filling/caping operation dumping excess Cayenne all over the jar as it was being filled. This might have also happened in the warehouse if one bottle in a large stack of them was broken, spilling Cayenne onto all the intact jars. The tear in the safety seal looked like it happened when the lid was screwed on and since the lid was tight, I doubt the Cayenne all over the bottle came from that.Anyway, seems to be a good seasoning but Eastanbul needs to review their packaging operation. The last three spices I got from them seem to be using a new jar lid with a bit of plastic that sticks out and can damage the safety seal. Two of the jars just had a big dent in the seal that almost, but not quite, punctured it. This jar was the only one where the seal was actually torn.

Good flavor but misleading name!
I add this in my Mexican dishes and it gives it some nice flavor and a little heat. Doesn't seem as hot as other Cayenne I've used but also a little different than chili powder I have so maybe it's a blend but ingredients just say chili pepper.

Excellent warm spice
My container of Cayenne pepper only indicated "Chili" on the label. However, trying this out over several meals, it is indeed cayenne pepper. This is a great value for size of spice and for the heat level it gives to food (or drink). This is the second item from Eastanbul we have tried (the other being Aleppo pepper flakes) and both have been outstanding in flavor so we highly recommend trying them out.
