Since then i have used Hifiman HE4xx, Sennheiser 58x, Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro's and a slew of other dynamic and planar magnetic headphones for my gaming pleasure. However, after watching several reviews on these Arctis Nova's, i decided to purchase a set for my wife as she is allergic to wires and wanted to have the freedom that only wireless provides. While setting up the headphones for her, i tested them in games and with high res Spotify tracks. I was floored at the sound quality. Not quite as crisp as my Beyerdynamic DT1990's, but a far cry from the gaming headsets of yore. Sub-bass response was impressive and I liked the ability to adjust the soundstage. They were comfortable even though the earcups are pleather and while typically i prefer velour or Steelseries own AirWeave, i found my ears were not as toasty as i expected them to be. I once wore them for 4 hours straight and forgot they were on my head! I was so impressed, i bought another pair for myself. Steelseries GG software is easy to navigate and setup, and I set up the EQ to mimic the sound profile of my Beyer's.
