Good game, but it's a bit dated. It has some balancing issues and quirks. get bag of dungeons instead and thank me later.

We play this in 2-player set up with a 10 yr old. He was able to pick up the rules and likes the game very much. Me, not so much. In a two player setting it is very easy to fall into a state in which one player effectively controls the game dynamics and can make a game last forever. There is no way to loose on purpose. It would be nice if there was a mechanism to kill your character or a limit of times they can respawn I feel the characters are not well balanced and there are some that are clearly better and after a few games it is easy to pick that up. Games can take anything between 30 minutes to multiple hours. It is not a casual game. The actual set is of nice quality. The figurines look very nice. I am giving it 4 stars in the hope that gameplay is better with more players. For two players is more like a three.

Bought as something to do other than watch films at Christmas, but I thought we’d play a couple of times only. We’ve played it so much more. With just two of us we like it best to have two characters each, makes it more interesting. Good quality components, fun to play. It takes a few hours for someone to win and it’s fun at every turn

Great game. I played the first version of this game when I was a teen. It’s only gotten better. I played this with my kids. And we have lots of fun playing it over and over.

Good edition of the classic game. I find the last phase of Talisman 4th Edition to be very boring, as it takes too long to kill remaining players with the command spell. In the 5th edition, this is improved and the game finishes almost immediately after a player reaches the crown.

Talisman is a brilliant board game and a great choice for anyone who enjoys fantasy, adventure and a bit of good old-fashioned dice rolling! There’s a really nice mix of exploration, strategy and luck, with every game playing out differently depending on the characters you choose, the cards you draw and the decisions you make. It’s easy enough to get into, but there’s plenty going on to keep things interesting once you understand the rules. The artwork and components look great, and the fantasy theme really comes through. It’s particularly good for playing with family or friends, as there are plenty of opportunities for things to go completely wrong — usually in a very entertaining way! If you enjoy games with a classic fantasy adventure feel, Talisman is definitely worth adding to your collection. Great fun, lots of replayability and plenty of memorable moments.
