Heats the entire enclosed patio
This was a recommended product from a friend who said it beat "Mr. Buddy" at heating the patio on cold nights. I purchased the heater and acc. hose. the assembly was straight forward and all the parts are vacuum packed so nothing is lost. Assembly took about 15 minutes with a screwdriver, and it was up and running in a jiffy. I'm impressed with the heat output, it covers a 10 X 10 foot enclosed area nicely and the heat is quite comfortable as opposed to a pit fire which is difficult to stand near. Build quality could be better and I think this will last a few years if taken care of. Turning it on is simple, open the supply of gas, turn the flame knob to Light, and press the ignitor. I keep it on the table so it is high enough to stand around while we smoke. Overall, it is highly recommended.

This little table top heater works great on my back porch.
Bought this for my back porch where I like to go and have a cigar and watch a little golf on TV. During the winter it is too cool to sit outside without some kind of addition warmth and this does the trick. If you are looking for it to warm an area and keep it warm this will not do that unless the area is enclosed. However, if you want some heat reflecting on you while you enjoy the outdoor deck this will do the trick. It's meant to warm you up a little, not heat the entire patio.

Easy to assemble but get an adapter for a 20lb tank
In spite of some reviewers complaints about assembly I found that easy to do. Probably took less than 15 minutes. I especially liked the fact that nearly all of the screws were already screwed into the various parts, so no trying to figure out which ones went where. True I did have to unscrew them, fit the pieces together and then put the screws back in but I still liked what they did.Between reviewers complaining about either not enough heat or going through the 1lb tanks too quickly, I was a bit confused... If the unit gave off more heat, wouldn't it go through a tank even faster? In any case I have an adapter hose so I just hooked it up to a 20lb tank. The unit has a convenient notch in the base for the hose to go through, so it will sit level on my patio table. If you do go this route I would suggest that when shutting down the heater you first shut off the gas at the tank and wait until the burner goes out before turning the heater's control knob to the off position. One thing that they could have done better with is the heat reflector on the top of the unit. The bottom of it is brushed (dull) metal. This cuts down on the amount of heat that is reflected outward. Measuring the top surface temperature versus a full sized outdoor heater shows a 40 to 50 degree (f) hotter surface on the table top unit. It would also be nice if the reflector was a bit larger. I think this would help the heat radiate out further. One modification that I did is replace one of the top posts with a threaded rod and some nuts so that I could angle the reflector to one side. This helps direct the heat when there's no one on the other side of the table.Update: 12/20/2017Now that the weather is getting colder I started having issues with the pilot light going out when I let go of the gas control knob. I found out quite by accident that if I let go very s-l-o-w-l-y it is much more likely to stay lit and allow me to turn the gas all the way up without going out.

Don’t Waste Your Money!!!!!!!!
I was greatly disappointed at first with the heat output, then within 30 days the pilot began to get harder to light and then no pilot at all, the knob was mislabeled and lo was high and high was low, now it doesn’t work at all! At first look it appeared to be made well? But then they use a CHEAP valve and it doesn’t last…..if you are wanting to buy one every 30days? Then this is the heater for you! However if your wanting to last a couple seasons I recommend buying something else as this is a pile of JUNK!!!!!

It does what it says it does: tabletop heat.
Like: It's pretty easy to assemble - give yourself a 1/2 hour, you'll need less but book that time in case. It does what it says, makes heat for a table. It's not going to warm you up on a winter night but for a cool summer / fall evening, it's fantastic.Didn't like: One set of screws to attach one of the sections were too large for the pre-drilled holes. Mildly frustrating.Back to Likes: I called the company with zero expectations of anyone answering the call but was pleasantly surprised when it was and the person on the other end was incredibly helpful. They put in a claim and did their best to sort me out. I ended up picking up some smaller diameter machine screws at the hardware store and fixed it on my own for the tune of $2.00 which I was fine with. They called to set up a return but I declined as I fixed it myself. Virtual high-five for their efforts. And yes, it will burn a 1 Lb propane canister up pretty quick but what do you expect? You want heat? You need fuel. I hook mine into a 20Lb tank which makes it way more affordable.

Great heater with mixed reviews because
This is a great heater, but there is a detail to know before buying. While this is designed to house and consume standard camp stove 1lb propane canisters it really doesn't work well with such a small fuel source. You'll get 30 mins of somewhat acceptable flame then just a weak flame. What you need is a full sized 20lb propane tank, and a commonly available adapter hose then it will work great. It puts out quite a lot of heat now, and it can run for hours without trouble!

Warmest
The igniter still works, with the past two that was the issue and had to light it with a lighter. Warm and toasty

You need the hose/adapter for 20 lb tank
The 1 lb propane tanks only last for a few hours. If you want to get a full season out of this heater you will want to use a 20 lb tank for convenience and cost.It arrived quickly and was fairly easy to put together. The top "umbrella" is thin metal and was dented. Because our guests were coming that day we opted not to return it and instead gently hammered the dent out. It gives off really good heat for 3-4 people sitting close together. The heat doesn't travel outward very far, it is more downward. We put tinfoil our table to reflect more heat.A great little unit. Should not be placed under a patio umbrella though.

Defective product that would not ignite - now destined to be landfill.
It is a nice looking heater and relatively easy to assemble. But it would not ignite so is useless as a heater.

Love the finish on this unit.
Works great for those cold fall nights on the patio with a glass of wine in hand
