Awesome Roux "Spoon"
We're from Southwest Louisiana and do lots of cookin' with roux. I'm always on the lookout for a good "stirrer" for making a roux. If you're going to use Chef Paul Prudhomme's high-heat method, this whisk is the ticket! It moves the flour around in the bottom of the cast iron skillet better than anything else I've come across. I can keep my heat blasted on high and finish a dark roux in less than 10 minutes. If I had to make a wish list for this tool - it would only be that it was a few inches longer and was available with a wooden handle.I absolutely recommend this for anyone who's looking for a whisk that easily and efficiently covers a lot of ground on the bottom of the skillet. I think I might have to get a few of these for gifting to others in the family!

This works great for making sauces and hot custards on the stove ...
This works great for making sauces and hot custards on the stove top. The thin wires of the whisk don't harm my cookware, and the plastic handle makes holding this while whisking non-stop for 2 minutes through a bubbling hot sauce or custard very easy. I used to use my Pampered Chef mini whipper whisk for this job, but the wire handle on it would just hurt to hold for 2-3 minutes of whisking thick, boiling custards or sauces. That is the reason I decided to try this one - and it is perfect. The head is at much more of an angle than the picture seems to show. I was looking for something similar to the Pampered Chef one, which is a 90% angle from the handle. This one isn't quite 90, but it's flexible and is just the right angle to get the sides of the pot - probably better than my pampered chef one did. This purchase is well worth it.

Coil Wire Whisk
My husband LOVES to make omelets. He had a similar whisk for over 20 years. One sad day it snapped in two. He wasn't sure where to find one like it. I put it on my "to do shopping list." But as usual, one forgets after the initial search and failure. But my daughter remembered his wish and searched on line to find one for his birtday (she's on a college student budget). She found this and I ordered it. My husband (rather snobby in the kitchen) found it rather nice, especially for the price. He likes it. This is good because I HATE returns. His only negative comment was the handle was a little small, but he's getting used to it.I like the fact that the handle came in black to match my other kitchen utensil collection. Overall, HAPPY.

Enjoy a lump free life!
When it comes to gravy and sauces, these handy dandy horseshoe whisks are the best! One of my Swedish friends introduced me to these decades ago, way back when they were actually difficult to find. Now there should be one in every household!

Many kitchen uses for this gem!
I use this for whipping up scrambled eggs, making gravy, making pudding. I love it better than my wire whisks as it gets into the corners of either a saucepan or bowls. Highly recommended.

Awesome whisk! Melty ha dl
These are good whisks. I've got a couple of them, and they are definitely better, in my opinion, than standard American whisks. The only downside is that the hand is meltable plastic. You have to be pretty careful when whisking sauces on the stove.I've managed to keep one of my whisks in good shape, but the first one is full of melt marks, I'm afraid.Great whisk!

Swede whisk "det er bra"
These whisks used to be hard to find in the US. I had one in Sweden when I lived there a few years. Swedes seem to like sauces quite a bit and this whisk is exactly what you need when making sauces. A regular whisk is helpless when against breaking up lumps around the inside perimeter of a sauce pan. I have no idea if this particular Swede whisk is any better or worse than others. It is simple and it works.Surprisingly enough it is stamped "Made in Sweden"
