Brilliant first esspresso machine
This machine is great as a first entry into esspresso machines. Is it the best machine on the market? NoDoes it have the greatest variety of felxibility and customisation on the market? NoDoes it make great coffee and give you a BRILLIANT entry into the wonderful world of esspresso and coffe? YESYES YES YESThe hopper holds a very good ammount of beans that does 5+ coffees per fill. The multiple baskets that it comes with are great for dialling in your espresso and make it nearly impossible to make bad coffee. The calibrated tamper makes it easy to get the correct pressure for your puck and if youre a fan of milk drinks, the inbuilt frother gives great pressure and the accompanying milk jug allows for easy pouring.Overall this is a brilliant "First" esspresso machine that blends great coffee with ease of use and flexible settings whilst also being very hard to get wrong. As a final note, I had a small issue with the hopper after about 4 weeks of near constant use, and all it took was 5 minutes and 3 small screws to get the whole thing apart, fix and put back together. I really cannot reccoment this machine enough.

Broken
So i bought one of these having had all sage machines previously. I'm a pretty heavy user and usually get 5 years or so out of the sage machines. For some bizarre reason I thought I would have a change and try this machine, MISTAKE! To look at it's a nice unit, makes a decent espresso and I would say is aimed at beginners as has weighted tamper, timed steam wand etc etc.The machines weakness is the steam wand. Literally a few days after the 30 day refund period it stopped working. I always look after my machines so run after use, clean etc so it's not that. I paid 529 for this machine, and you don't expect it to break 7 weeks in!!I have to say amazon as ever we're great and will refund me but obviously I'm back to square one.My advice would be avoid this machine and buy the Sage.

A very easy to use semi auto bean to cup machine.
After several machines I am pleased to say this one is vey easy to use, makes excellent coffee almost straight out of the box. Accessories of high quality, the tamper in particular. Good looking as well.

Suits my needs.
Does pretty much everything I need. The coffee granules tend to spout out of the grinder when delivering into the portafilter and the base of the cup stand does fill with water for some strange reason but other than that fits my need very well and the coffee is lovely. Would recommend this just need to keep it wiped down.

A wonderful easy to use machine that makes a great cup of coffee
The media could not be loaded. Dream machine!I love it so much I have given my coffee pod machine to the charity shop because once I tasted this coffee there was no way I was going back to pods! This coffee machine comes with everything you need to make a great quality coffee at home. It takes a few tries to get it right especially the milk frother and I actually found it more beneficial to go and watch the video on YouTube to watch how to use it properly. It is easy enough to clean too.It is noisy but it doesn’t take long to make so it’s not an issue for me.Although it is a costly machine when you look at how much it is to buy a coffee out now this actually ends up saving you money in the long run, if your used to buying a coffee on the way to work every day literally a couple of months worth and you would have paid for the machine already. The only downside I found was the chamber that holds the beans doesn’t have a divider so if your a household who like different beans you need to keep taking the beans in and out.I am over the moon with this machine and would definitely recommend it.

Bean to cup at home
The media could not be loaded. Philips Semi automatic bean to cup coffee machine could not be simpler to use. See my video, can make a coffee in no time. From start to finish, there are 2 quick and easy videos to watch on the Philips webpage which should you setting up and using the machine. It comes with everything you need to get started ( other than beans and milk :)Once cleaned and purged you can be on your way.I set my grind to 7 and adjusted the amount down low. Aim is to get the pressure to the middle setting with is effected by the amount you grind.Full the cup, place into the main unit. It might be stiff, make sure you are flat and level and go slowly.Quick push of a button and you have an espresso.Milk frother works well, takes some practice getting the style you like. However will soon pick it up.I found this machine very easy to use and clean. The price is not too bad for the quality as others can cost a lot more.It doesn't have a built in water filter, I recommend filtered water going in your tank.Machine made a nice smooth espresso. The machine it self feels robust and solid. Very stylish and looks great in our kitchen. We now feel like professionals home baristas
