Solutions Architect's Handbook - Third Edition: Kick-start your career with architecture design principles, strategies, and generative AI techniques

This is my first book on this exciting field. It is definitely a very well written, is in-depth anf great help for elementary level person. But, I have a feeling that authors think and believe if the subjects is Solution Architecture then it should be mostly about Cloud and AWS. There is nothing wrong in that notion. I was looking for more information on a niche and futuristic area of Solutions Architecture… like on-premise and bare metal servers. Perhaps when the world returns back to on premises, private clouds…

I am happy to share the first review on Amazon from India. I recently bought this book and went through it at a very high level. What I feel is, this is a must-have book for all cloud enthusiasts, whether they are new to cloud or experienced and want to become a Solutions Architect. This book is really going to add value. Book binding quality is very poor.

Good book on covering foundation, focus on generalized content and examples from AWS services

This book contains massive useful information about the meaning of being a solution architect how it is important for an organization and how you will have fun with the career if you are in the role. This book is very useful for me who wants to be better in Tech career.

This is the second book from Saurabh Shrivastava and a good read too. Covers most of the principal approaches in design and had vastness in the coverage, which is neat. I'm in initial read, a good book to start with if you on any cloud migration projects.

While contents are good but binding quality is very bad, pages starts coming out after few days of reading. I see many prior reviewers have complained about similar issues but publishers seems to have little interest in taking such feedback. There isn’t any improvement in the binding quality.

You can expect from this book is: - having a wide vision of architecture - insights from projects and the successful behaviour for any architect - getting a overview of key topics and how to tackle them (managing stakeholders, managing budget, teams, technology issues…) - much more What you cannot expect : - having a zoom in detailed answer from a business case - having answers to a specific question (obvious right ?) - having a to do list of what to do on YOUR project. Finally, take this book as a reflection guide that will help you to understand quickly what’s the position of a solution architect on project.

An absolute must read for new, experienced, and aspiring Solutions Architects!
