When compared with other sellers, 6 of these "Clean and Renew" cartridges for £27 represents good value.This price is £3.50 per cartridge - while they are often £10+ each elsewhere - even on the "auction" site.These are genuine Braun items and last about 2 months each with a daily razor clean. ie. A box of 6 lasts me about a year. They clean and lubricate my Braun Series 6 razor and keep it running like new. They leave a fresh lemon fragrance.Being sealed, there is no "use by" date so they can be stored for extended periodsI have used alternative refill liquids. A few of them (high in isopropyl alcohol) work as well. But, at this price, why bother? These are hassle free....

I’ve tried reusing my old containers with other cleaning agents, but nothing compares to these original Braun refill cartridges. They clean my razor thoroughly, leaving it spotless and running like new. Plus, that refreshing lemon zest scent is something I just can’t replicate with other products—it adds a nice touch and keeps my razor smelling fresh.These refills may seem like a splurge, but the superior cleaning and fresh scent make them well worth it. Highly recommend sticking with the originals for the best results!

I was a little concerned these cartridges might end up costing me a fortune but they can be used sparingly, I don’t clean my shaver every day, I keep the plug from the cartridge and put the plug back in when not in use and it doesn’t evaporate when not in use, I’ve gotten at least a month maybe two months out of each cartridge so one box might last a year and that’s not too costly. I haven’t tried alternative cleaning cartridges but have heard that can be dangerous for your shaver and the cleaning station, also I wouldn’t want the faff of trying to refill a cartridge. I feel more confident using a Braun product. I was wondering if it would be worth it over all as the shaver is also very expensive but haven’t thought twice about it now. It’s the best shaver I’ve ever used and well worth the money for replacing cartridges and having a clean, fresh razor every day

A good saving by buying in bulk

Whilst initially I felt this could be another unnecessary expense, the Braun clean and renew cartridges and system have kept my series 9 shaver like new for over 7 years. Infact I only recently in the last month decided to change the foil, the original one was still going strong.I put this down to the convenience and formulation of these refill cartridges. Not only do they help clean the shaver head and foil automatically without the fuss and mess, they lubricate the blades and cutting head, minimise bacteria and smell great!I tend to get these in a multipack as they offer better value (especially during sales) and each cartridge usually lasts around 2 to 3 months with daily shaving. Once the cartridge has expired the smartcare station won't allow you to continue until you replace it (not sure how it knows this!).After removing the cartridge I usually empty out the yucky waste liquid content before recycling the plastic cartridge. Fitting a new one requires a firm pull to remove the covers and then it slides into place inside the cleaning station.It has helped to keep my series 9 in tip top condition and protect my investment. Thoroughly recommended for fuss free shaver cleaning and protection.

Second expensive Braun shaver (£300+) owned to date (but have had so many brands over the years and last Braun lasted 15 years). To ensure it survives - I buy the original cartridges.I have tried man times to buy alternatives but keep coming back to these originals as the liquid not only cleans better but per litre (in this particular case), they can be purchased for similar money as the generic / refill versions which can require work to install.Pros:No messing about, they fit and they work well with the razor cleaner.6 for nearly the price of 3 - is a real bargain.When used, the smell is citrusy and fresh.Cons:The price, I'm not sure why these are always so expensive (as they are basically fancy alcohol) when compared to other brands but they do work, so if like me, you want to keep your razor running smoothly - then these are the best.
