Better than a t-shirt on your head!
I burn so easily, especially when going to the beach with others who are out for a tan. My usual way of dealing with this is to put a t-shirt under my baseball hat and draping it down my neck, but no longer...The back of this hat is detachable, as its connected by velcro, but it's a shame the velcro does not go all the way around as there is a slight chance that if not put on correctly you could allow all those rays in through the tiny gap..The cap is not worth wearing without the cape bit, as its just not that nice, but this thing will be coming to every beach with me in the future.

Safari cap
Well my husband is absolutely delighted with his purchase. Made me smile when he put it on, as it’s large and looks like he is going on safari 😁. His neck got very badly burned, so this removable neck protector is exactly what he wanted. Came super quick. Good price. Well made.

Outdoor Mens Sun Hat with Removable Neck Flap
I have done lots of walking in my time including long distance trails like the Camino de Santiago, The Ridgeway, North Downs Way, West Highland Way, Speyside Way and Great Glen Way amongst others, often in the blazing sun and sometimes I got a sunburned neck so I could definitely have used this sun hat with neck flap to protect it and save me some grief. The flap is held in place with patches Velcro so is removeable. It offers 98% protection from harmful UV radiation. It lightweight, foldable, quick drying, vents either side, a good peak to shade the eyes and a drawcord to tighten and hold it on your head in windy conditions. Worth the cost of £15.99 to protect yourself from the sun's damaging rays and potential skin cancer.
