I like a glass of red every other night. As I'm getting older I tend to worry about the damage it may be doing/done. With this easy to follow test with quick results, I know now I can open another bottle 🤪

Wish I had read other reviews before…as others say this is not a test for your liver as advertised and I was looking for, it is a general at home urine test that could indicate a range of health issues using different parameters. From the write up I expected it to include 1 test just for liver function so I knew it wasn’t right then it had 5 tests. I have bought other home tests advertised as general for less money. So don’t be fooled by the pretty yellow packaging when in fact you receive a box with fold here lines and pixelatd writing, not filling me with confidence. To finish off, some of the sample square fell off when dunked so had to use another strip to get all the results.

I carried out a test yesterday which is basically a urine test. Simply collect a urine sample in a clean container then dip the test strip into the urine. Wait then interpret the results via the enclosed colour chart. The test strip changes colour based on a variety of factors from detecting blood in the urine to pH value, specific gravity, bilirubin etc etc which all give indicators to liver health. Thankfully my test revealed good all round results although specific gravity was slightly high. Now this is where the test lets you down as there isn't any real layman's information in any of the leaflets to say what an issue might be if a particular result is outside of normal range. I was left to Google what specific gravity meant. Therefore it indicates that my urine is high in concentration and I need to drink more fluids. Possible dehydration. The leaflets and result chart really needs to give the user a clear idea of what a high or low reading could mean without too much technical or medical jargon. After all these are for home use and unless you are a doctor or nurse you'll be looking at the test strip colours and trying to work out what might be wrong or right. The manufacturer really needs to address this so the end user can have better, clearer information to hand immediately rather than having to Google something. I think the price at just £7.99 at time of review is very good and the box contains 5 tests. Another review mentioned that they only received 5 strips and should have got 10 lol. The wording in the ad probably needs some attention from the seller because it could be misconstrued for 10 tests. I personally interpret that the ad has 10 parameters not 10 test strips. Maybe the seller should clearly put the amount on the ad. The tests arrived with all relevant information on how to carry out which is easy and each test is in a sealed pack with important info such as expiry date and other information such as batch number. The tests are sealed with a dessicant pack to keep them dry so you can feel assured that the test strip is fresh and ready to use. Overall these are easy to use, provide a quick informative indication to liver health with the 10 parameters checked and provide users with a way of monitoring their liver health whilst being able to contact their doctors immediately upon finding any worrying results and they're a decent price. I'm off to drink some more water now :-)
