Quick delivery, the tin doesn’t hold the pan, they slide about and come out, I can’t get the pan holders to hold the pan, I think I need to get some magnetic paper attached to the pan. Apart from that the paints are gorgeous.

Beautiful selection of watercolors in a very beautiful box with a porcelain watercolor tray, the selection of colors are very stunning. The watercolors are very pigmented and smooth to use and a very good selection of different colors to choose from. This is a very high quality product for any professional artist. They are very expensive but you can see why.

Schmincke makes wonderful paint and this palette is an excellent selection of colors.Artist grade paint.Schmincke equals excellence. This is a great set!

I could not wait to get these paints… admittedly, this is the first time I have bought professional paints, so I don’t have much to compare to besides my usual student grade paints, but wow… these are amazing… I swatched them right away… I popped a drop of water in each pan to get them moist, and they softened up so nice, I barely had to work them to get a good amount of paint on my brush…. The colors went on super thick and bright with no effort, and the colors are beautiful. The seller also included some awesome samples in the package, which I cant wait to try!… thank you, I am so looking forward to using these paints!

This was the second Schmincke paint set that I bought for myself. I was attracted to the fact that there were three very good mixing primaries ( magenta, helio cerulean, and lemon yellow) and also some interesting extras such as quindacrodone gold hue and also perylene green and purple. 12 half pans are included with this set. The metal palette is ok, it's long and rectangular with a finger ring underneath. Inside, there is room for 24 half pans total, and the paint tray is removable if you'd like an extra mixing area. I think that this is a great set particularly if you already have Schminckes requisite 8-12 paints that they usually sell to introduce people to their line. If you are new to Schmincke paints but not to watercolor painting, I'd describe Schmincke watercolors as being more delicate than paints like White Nights. By that I mean it takes much longer to build up contrasting tones. I'd say that Schmincke is closest to Sennelier when it comes to how clean the colors are. Nothing muddy about these paints, that's for sure! I've read some reviews that stated that Schmincke watercolors are more "controlled" than some other brands like Qor, and I'd have to agree. Beautiful and delicate paints, also comes with a swatch sheet and a leather case.
