Better than Harry Potter
An incredible book series, well written and exciting. I recommend the series to the young and old. I couldn’t put the books down. The only bad part was it had to end.

This is my 2nd attempt to get my Review posted! Here goes!
Wow, this is an edge of your seat exciting book! This is the 9th book in the series and if you love fast-paced action in the fantasy genre then this is a great choice. Not only has Jake been mentally, morally & physically tested, every one in his circle of friends go through their own trials, each one have their emotional, physical strengths & their moral compasses tested during their most harrowing adventure. It’s Good verses Evil - Evil verses Good- which one will overcome the other, which one will Win this Conflict! There are some sacrifices, shocking developments & severe consequences which have caused me to keep my fingers crossed that some of consequences aren't as bad or as permanent as they seem. I’m hoping that this book is not the end of Jake & his friends’ adventures as some of the reviewers surmised. While some questions are answered many more have emerged. There are still questions to be answers & the destinies of other characters to be discovered. It appears that I will have to wait for the next one in the series to see where the adventures leads!I recommend reading the series in sequential order to have all the information you need to fully appreciate the story.Another positive, about this book is that it is wholesome good fun, no swearing or erotic content, it’s good clean stories with a mix of the angelic, demons, fae creatures, steampunk & the victorian age morals. There is lots of action with fight scenes that are exciting & heart thumping.E.G. Foley have done an amazing job developing each characters, their emotion maturity as they go through their exploits. It is well written, flows smoothly and is easy to read. The imagery is awesome, as the story unfolds, every scene flows like a moving picture.I voluntarily read an Advanced Review Copy of this book, and the views expressed are my honest opinions.

Crazy ride
This book was full of action and adventure as we followed all the characters through the battle with Wyvern and the Dark Druids. Is actually love to see what happens to all my favorite characters after all this, but I'm pretty sure this is the final book of the series. If they choose to write more about Jake and all of his friends, I would definitely read it. Thoroughly enjoyable series I will definitely revisit in the future.

Breathtaking Read, Exciting and Heart Wrenching
I have read every young adult fantasy series in the last 15 or 20 years and I have to say this is probably the best book in its genre that I have ever read. I have long been an admirer of the character development, and growth of the young protagonists in the series, but I am awed by the fact that they entered this story as children and emerged as new people poised on the brink of becoming young men and women ready to lead a New World which, as yet is still cloaked in confusion. The battle scenes are uncomfortably realistic and not at all repetitious. Interactions between the characters are fraught with deep and sincere emotions. The good people sometimes find they’re not as good as they thought they were, and bad people sometimes find they’re better than they thought they were. Absolutely nothing is predictable in this book. It’s a wild and exciting ride from first to last.. I’m eagerly looking forward to the next book.

Classic Must-Read!!
Parents may remember 25 years ago when little tykes were lugging around beloved epic books that nearly matched their weight. These devoted readers would not leave home without their treasured tome and their stuffed dog and teddy would have to scoot over at bedtime. E.G. Foley has lovingly written a wonderful series that has an amazing cast of characters and adventures that will thrill young readers and their parents. "The Devil's Lair"(Book9) is a crowning masterpiece that is guaranteed to keep you reading with the flashlight on under your cover well past your Lights Off order. Don't miss this incredible series that takes you back to the days of Queen Victoria and cobblestoned London.

Book Series
I would highly recommend all the books in this platform of The Gryphon on Chronicles. There are just as entertaining as the Harry Potter books. As an older adult, I found the books to be very entertaining and a joy to read. The last two books were very long. Perhaps they could have been spread out over three or four books. But I understand the logic of putting everything into the length of the last two books.

Great series for all ages
We eagerly anticipate each new book in the series. The later books do get a little more violent so maybe not great for kids sensitive to violence but my now teens and I fight over who gets to read any new book first. We also love the audios for long car rides and even relisten! Love it as much or maybe even more than Harry Potter!

best book!
I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. It’s extremely well written, never a dull moment and unlike some series, where the later books aren’t as good as the first one, this was the best book yet! Better than Harry Potter in my view! If you love adventure with a great sense of humor, moral lessons thrown in too then you’ll love this series. It’s aimed at kids but I’m 53 and I loved it! Well done EG Foley!

Oh LORD
I received an early review copy of this book and these are my honest viewsOkay so this book is BRILLIANTI have been reading this series since before I started highschool, I have since graduated highschool a few years ago and when I say these books are still good, I mean it. this book made me cry multiple times (something few books achieve for me)I could not put the book down, I set aside time and told people I wouldnt be available for a bit because I was sure it would grip me and it bloody well did. I thoroughly recommend re reading all the prior books (as I did) because it pulls on threads that have been left for a long time and weaves them altogether for an amazing book that gripped me.(I spent my new years eve relaxing reading this book and couldnt be happier)
