Does not soften the water
I was initially extremely happy to have found this product, as we live in a hard water area. I tested the water after filling my hot tub half way (see photo), and found that the water is not softened at all. I had the hose on a low speed to make sure the water would get softened which added several extra hours on filling the tub needlessly. Addtionally, when I started using it, red water gushed out of it. Luckily it had not yet been put in the hot tub. After a minute of running the hose, the water became clear.PS - I contacted the manufacturer, and this product was discontinued from market in March 2019 because it was problematic and high failure rate. This is a shame, as there is nothing else on the market that meets this need, and the idea of the product is sound.
