Very easy to install on your hard hat ⛑️

I wanted to get this special shade providing over the hat/helmet sunshade because my two hardhats (one white one yellow) have no brim to speak of. My senior bump cap (Amazon) has a teeny tiny one 1.25 inch (3.2 cm) and even my regular baseball cap with its 3 1/4 inch (8.3 cm) brim is dwarfed by this brim which actually extends out 5.75 inches (14.5 cm). I like to sit out in the sun, especially if there is a nice breeze and it isn't too hot and I usually wear either a baseball cap, whose brim only extends in front but not the sides or back or I might wear my straw hat which doesn't protect the back of my neck. This nice addition to my sunburn protection fits nicely and securely over any of my headgear and is easily transferred between them so you don't need one for each.The important thing here is that it provides a brim for protection in all directions and also a covering for my ears and back of my neck. I got the yellow version because it looks like a workman style not a terrorist. So yes, it's very big. When opened it is (17 1/4 inches or 44 cm) outside diameter so you don't feel closed in. But how about if you don't want to wear it but rather either carry with you or store it? That's the genius of this thing: it comes folded up in its own self storage pouch and can easily be put back in that pouch by twisting (it has a steel spring in the brim which allows you to do that; takes a little practice to master). And the pouch can never be lost because it is attached to the inside of the back neck protecting panel so it's not even visible when worn!When folded up its package forms a disk approximately 7 inches (17.5 cm) diameter and about 1 inch (2.54 cm) thick at the center, tapering to the edges. All the sewing is nicely done and the cloth is strong. In conclusion: very highly recommend to avoid the annoyance of the sun getting in your eyes and of course avoiding sunburn.

Interesting pouch that it comes in, the hat has a wire frame that you can twist to make it smaller to fit back into the pouch - which is attached to the hat.I thought it had a top, but it is open. There is a double elastic band, for a head or a hat. I could not make it fit on a hard-hat, it fits on a ball-cap a little odd, I think some other type of cap would function well if you don't want your head exposed to the sun.Neck shade is quite adequate and the reflective band is bright. Seems to be quality material.

I love that multiple of these came in a pack. I can leave some at home to use when I'm mowing the lawn or doing yard work to help save my neck from getting sunburnt. I found that it was easy to get over my hard hat and stays on all day without needing to readjust. These fold up easy and small for easy storage
