The consensus seems to be generally, you don't want to reuse lock nuts more than a few times. I believe it's because they tend to lose their tight fit as the nylon wears. This means that I buy a lot more of these than the usual nuts. What I use them for is securing casters on cabinets for the shop because they can wiggle loose over time. These create a tight fit, and came in a little reusable plastic container. I am not familiar with this brand, but they work fine, and would buy them again.

I ordered the size 1/4-20, and I can confirm that is the size I received. The quality seems decent on these, and they are indeed stainless steel construction. The nylon insert works as intended to "lock" the nut and help prevent these from vibrating loose. The case isn't much, but it is flexible, transparent, and adequate for holding this quantity of nuts. Overall I'm happy with these and I wouldn't hesitate to order this brand again!

I love this pack had more than I needed for the project I always seem to need this size nuts for something. A 50 piece pack is almost the perfect size. The Nylon insert locks the nuts perfectly and being a 7\16 size means almost everyone has the right size wrench or socket to tighten them. I really like they are stainless steel instead of painted.

The specification for the shear bolt on my John Deere 336 baler calls for special bolts and 1/4" lock nuts. I have the bolts, but the lock nuts were missing. These will work.

I bought these stainless steel nuts to add them to my everyday shop supplies. They will fit the need when a more rust resistant fastener is required for the situation. They are only slightly magnetic using a neodymium magnet, compared to a regular steel nut. Hard to describe the difference, but I would say they do fit the definition of 304 stainless. All things considered, they are a good value.

I prefer to use nylon insert nuts whenever possible. They have much less possibility of loosening over time compared to regular nuts. Being stainless steel is a huge bonus. These nuts are well made, and work as expected. No surprises here.
