These colors are great, and they are bright and vibrant. I thought at first there wasn’t much gouache in a cup but the cups are really deep and I’ve realized I don’t have to use a lot of paint for the color and consistency I’m trying to achieve. They are fun, easy, and consistency is great. Price is great as well. I was pleasantly surprised, especially not wanting to spend a lot on something i didn’t know if it was going to be good. Cute and easy case. Gave me a lot of inspiration. I would say they are above student quality. A great product for the price! I love them.

After watching some fun Pinterest videos of gouache artists my son expressed interest in trying it. This brand was recommended by one of the artists so we decided to purchase and try. The quality seems good, though we are novices and don’t know anything else so can’t compare, but my son found it easy to use and follow along on the videos he watched. I do love that this paint is so easy to clean up when you’re done and washes easily out of brushes. He is still working on learning how to blend without the colors getting too muddy. But I think it looks beautiful and that it’s a great value to start with if you want to dip your toe in experimenting with this medium. The variety of colors is also a big plus. I love all the options.

I bought this as a birthday gift in March. My 13-year-old granddaughter has absolutely loved it. She is not sharing her paints with anyone. She has said that I can paint with her. lolI would not suggest this for much younger children. I think the 9-year-old could use it and love it, but I wouldn’t go younger than that.The paints are vibrant, dry quickly, and have worked on lots of different materials.

I was pretty curious about this media , and looked forward to trying it out.It’s fairly easy to use, and not as messy as some media.I really have to watch not making any messes that would jeopardise me in an apartment inspection

Very much agree with all the other positive reviewers - these are great sets, vibrant colors, and love that I got three brushes with this set. However, I have ordered other HIMI gouache sets and they've all come with cellophane wrapping. This set just came plain with an Amazon sticker on it. The paints were new inside but this set doesn't feel new, this feels like a returned/open box item being sold as new. I'll keep the set but Amazon, come on, if you're selling new then send a new item.
