Great budget bikes with well thought out designs and additions
This is maybe our 4th RoyalBaby bike over 8 years or so (12", 14", 16" and 18"!) through 3 kids. As a lifelong cyclist, I've been really impressed with their well-thought out designs for small kids. Comparing this to a Schwinn we had and other lower end "big" brands, these are much better designs, for the most part, with one caveat (below). This one had the extra bits that made a 6 year old girls' eyes widen - the basket, the grip ribbons, the white tires with hearts in the tread, the color schemes, these were all great! The bike arrived nearly assembled, and was easy to set up and factory assembled fairly decently (brakes set up mostly properly, chain and wheels on correct, kickstand tight, etc). I'm a little skeptical on the one button snap on cranks for longevity, but this isn't a lifelong bike. The button is plastic, but the crank and spindle are steel, at least. Also, the pedals are smaller on this one than the 16" inch, which is odd. One downside: on all of the Royalbaby bikes, the seat geometry is a little smashed forward. The Bottom Bracket is nearly underneath the seat directly, which means for longer legs, they are a bit squished in more than I'd like to see. The seat tube angle I feel should be slightly slacker backward, so that they have room to grow better. The overall weight is heavy, being a steel low end bike, but it's not horrendous, even for a small child.

Easy assembly and a great “grow-with-them” bike
We’re very happy with the RoyalBaby EZ Stargirl Kids Bike. Assembly was straightforward and didn’t take long, which was a big win right out of the box. Everything fit together as expected, and the instructions were easy to follow. The best feature, though, is how simple it is to convert from the strider-style setup to a pedal bike. That flexibility makes it feel like a true grow-with-your-kid bike, and the transition is smooth and not intimidating. It’s been a great way to build confidence and keep things fun as they progress. If you want a kids’ bike that’s easy to put together and makes the move to pedals painless, this one is a solid choice.

Significantly better than the Schwinn bikes
I originally got a Schwinn bike and it was a piece of junk. I actually purchased three of them and all three had the exact same defects - deformed front basket and rear tire that pops off the rim when inflated. Horrible quality control I reach around all three and decided to buy these royal baby bikes. Is noticeable in many - packaging, accessories, individual component quality, and overall design. I'm very happy with the Royal Baby, especially when compared to Schwinn.

Well-Made Starter Bike, Just Pay Attention to Sizing
I ordered this a little ahead of time for my daughter, who is almost 3, and quickly realized this is definitely not for that age group yet. The 16 inch size is much better suited for kids closer to 4–7 years old, so this will be something we grow into rather than use right away. That said, I still put it together and looked it over closely, and my first impression is that it’s a solid, well-made bike. The frame feels sturdy, the paint finish (Candy Pink) is really cute in person, and everything arrived in good condition. It came mostly pre-assembled, which made setup manageable without too much frustration. I also like that it has dual hand brakes, which feel more like a “big kid” bike and should be great for learning proper control later on. The training wheels, seat, and handlebars are adjustable, so it looks like it will grow with her for a bit once she’s ready. I love the little basket in the front. She will love putting her toys inside. Even though we can’t fully test ride it yet, it seems like a good quality starter bike for the right age range. Just be aware that this size is not for toddlers, even though it might be tempting to buy early like I did. Overall, I’m happy with the quality so far and plan to update once she’s old enough to really use it.

Great bike for beginners!!
This is a very good bike for beginners. Kid can learn balancing without the pedals and then later fix the pedal once they feel comfortable. I was surprised to see my kid learn to bike confidently within a week. Definitely a good value for money.

The perfect learning bike
This bike is perfect for learning. My daughter had a balance bike from 3-4 and no interest in using it. Spent last summer trying to use training wheels to teach my then 5 year old how to balance on a traditional huffy. The huffy was clearly too high and bulky and she couldn’t figure it out. Research brought me to RoyalBaby. The bike not only met the aesthetic look, but I was so excited for the clip on pedals. After an easy assembly, we tried it as a balance bike. My 6 year old was gliding up and down the road in no time! After only 15-20 minutes of riding she wanted to try the pedals. I clipped them on and she took off pedaling with ZERO help. We didn’t even have to give her a boost to get going. She’s been riding like a champ ever since. Couldn’t recommend this bike more highly.
