The tool itself is a bit uncomfortable to use because there's no padding like the Crop A Dile has. (I think Amazon still carries the Crop A Dile). Plus, when I opened it I got a pretty nasty pinch because the spring is so tight.The gold grommets that come with it work great with the Crop A Dile. The colorful grommets in the little box work wonderful to fill the hole made by the We R Memory Keepers Punch Board (sold on Amazon). The holes made with the Punch Board are larger than many of my punches and most grommet shanks are narrow. If you find some that fit the hole, the tops are awkwardly large for most craft book projects. I love these and I hope I can find them sold separately. They're very sturdy... that's another reason I would like these by themselves.You can see they crimp somewhat cleanly in the pictures. I like grommets that don't split on the back... this has minor splits because I double crimped it and it's only on one sheet of cardstock. They come with washers for the back and that's awesome. These were set... once again... with the Crop A Dile very easily.I'm hoping the binder rings I ordered through Amazon will fit through these grommets. The colors are perfect for a project I'm working on...little girls/boys journals.I gave this kit 4 stars because it bit me and there's no padding. I'll figure a way to fix the padding issue. The tool is a good back up tool.
