Excellent cookware! Planning to get some of every piece!!
Pro: This cookware is beaiutiful, looks just like the original stuff I had in the 70's. It washes up very easily. I also love that I don't have to worry about flakes of teflon in the food!Con: You have to remember that you need to turn down the heat some, or it will still stick! Also the handles that fit the old ones do not fit these new ones. And so far as I can see so far, nobody is making a new handle to fit these new models. I dearly miss the attachable handles so that you can use these as a pot with handle on one side.Overall, I am thrilled to be able to get stovetop cookware again..and the new coating on the bottom, I suspect is to make sure that the reason they removed the original corningware stovetop from the production line doesn't happen again. (I did some research online a good while back and found out that some of the originals shattered during use on the stovetop). Anyway, I am doing the happy dance, holding onto my wonderful new cookware!

I really do like these Pyroceram pieces
Equal parts nostalgia and appreciation of quality. I really do like these Pyroceram pieces.Honestly I don't use them on the stove but the fact that I can use them there just reinforces my trust in them in my oven. I had a pyrex glass baking dish crack down the middle while removing it from my oven. It dumped glass and potatoes au gratin on the oven door, my leg and the floor. Since then I'm always leery taking taking glass from the oven. That being said, I'm a lot less leery using these. As it is hard to buy "new" other sizes of this line. I have since purchased 3 other smaller pieces on ebay and amazon market place. All have been great. Interesting tidbit on the small pieces that usually don't have lids. They never came with lids. The small pieces are actually meant to have one flipped over on top of the other (handles at right angles) to serve one as the lid for the other.

Happy, happy!
I was happy when I found that the old, do-everything Corningware was alive and well and available. I can cook rice on top of the stove, serve and refrigerate leftovers in the same dish. I made mac n' cheese last week. I cooked the white sauce and cheese on top the stove, poured in the macaroni and then baked in the oven. It was served in the same dish and leftovers in the fridge. I should also mention that clean up easy.April 23, 2014 There seems to be confusion as to the size of these Corningware pieces. It would take a little math to convert dimensions to quarts so I did the following. I have an old 1 quart Cornflower Blue dish and I filled it with water and poured the water into the smaller of these. It took two fill-ups. I used a 1 quart measuring cup for the larger one. 4 quarts filled it to the top. So I would say the size of these dishes are 2 quarts and 4 quarts.Four quarts is big for most families, but don't forget you can cook on the top of your stove...like boiling water for pasta. When I make soup for the two of us, I will use this. I cook the soup, serve in the same dish at the table, refrigerate it and reheat it again all in one pan.

Bon mais prix élevé
Le produit est bon mais j'aurais préféré 1 plat plus grand que 2 plats mais je n'en ai pas trouvé.
