Can't argue with my blue tongued queen!
I took my 10 year old BTS to the vet when she was not eating well, which was odd for her. She was turning her nose up at everything including live prey, eggs, organic ground turkey, chicken, veggies, fruit, catfood etc. I was very worried. They tried to give her several products to stimulate her appetite in the office and she would have none of it. She had a relatively clean bill of health, however. They sent me home with a few other samples, all of which she refused, and also gave me a list of other ideas. One of them was this product. I was not very hopeful because I always end up with very particular lizards and have wasted my money on so many products. We had to give her some meds from the vet and were told to force feed her if she wouldn't take anything. So I bought this and when she didn't really want it at first, I wasn't surprised so we force fed her from a syringe. Next thing you know, she is actually sticking her tongue out willingly lapping it up. Soon, she started taking it all on her own, although she does prefer hand feeding when it comes to this product. So, she gained a lot of weight and was back to eating other things eventually.Recently she went off eating again, and I had to force feed her this one day. Well now, she is back to regularly lapping it up on her own. I am making it runnier than intended so I can give it with a syringe, dripping it on her tongue when she sticks it out. When I made it thicker, she was refusing it. I have been giving it to her every 2-3 days and she has been having healthy poop. Now, this stuff smells bad....like alfalfa and I am totally shocked she would like it, but who am I to argue? I will say that following the directions to get the intended consistency is near impossible. Back when she would eat it w/o the syringe, I tried to make it congeal like jello, which is what I think it is supposed to be like. I think I only got this perfect once. Every other time it comes out like mud or some other weird consistency. I found this frustrating but in the end, she doesn't seem to care so whatever. The fact that she likes it is the main thing, and it can be made thinner for a syringe or thicker if desired.I give this the highest rating b/c it seems like a healthy product and there are not too many products that cater to this species. But most importantly, one of my picky eaters, likes it after turning her nose up at everything else!UPDATE: I can now achieve jello consistency. I wasn't getting the water hot enough before, which is the key. Also, she still loves this. I can mash it into veggies she doesn't normally like and she will just swallow it all. This stuff is amazing in her opinion. I switch it up and don't give it to her every week so that she won't tire of it. So if you want it in a more liquid form, use warm water. Boiling water = solid. The ratio of product to water can be a little off and it will still set if your water is hot enough. My trick for making it fast: use a shot glass of water in the microwave for 20-30 seconds (until boiling). Pour over powder in a small glass container. Stir well and give it a little time to set. I store it in the refrigerator and cut slices to mix with other food.

This one is yummy
Buddy scarfed this one down. Nutritionally complete and better tasting (to the skink) than the zoo med crumbles. If you’re gonna pay up for skink food rather than buy large quantities of individual ingredients, this is a good choice. Quick and easy to make a batch, which can be refrigerated once made.

Skink monkey loves it
I went on the repashy website and they have a great tips sheet to ensure the consistency comes out how you want it. It was extremely helpful. It keeps in the fridge for up to two weeks and I mix pieces of this with grain free dog food, veggies, greens etc. I’ve tried some live bugs but he seems to enjoy this more and is much easier.

Skink approved
Skink approved. It was pretty easy. I just boiled some water in the microwave, put in a good amount of the powder to match the amount of water, and it sat pretty quickly. When solid, it was about the thickness of wet dog food. I can’t say how it is for the value of money since I don’t know how long it will last, but my blue tongue skink likes it a lot. I wasn’t sure how much he’d like it, but I set a piece in front of him and he immediately gobbled it up. Definitely worth a try!

Happy skink
My bluey is about 19 years old. He was showing some signs of dehydration and constipation because he didn't pay much attention to his water bowl and hates bathtime, and I was looking for a food that would give him more variety and moisture. He loves this food and the first few times I gave it to him he lunged at it with excitement. I haven't seen him this interested in food in a long time. I still feed him green beans, carrots and turkey but this has been a great way to give him added nutrition, and he is better now. I highly recommend!

Really great staple diet for you BTS. You can mix with other foods and provide a nice base to their diet that guarantees vitamins and essential nutrients for their good health.

Awesome product for young and old BTS
My I.J. BTS is now 27 years old (estimated age of course) and has devoured this product since he was 7 (when he came under my care). He has a VERY limited 'menu' before he came to me, and had to be shown how to be a BTS again. Mixing this with greens (although not needed nutritionally wise, but for varied diet) worked wonderfully. I also have an Indonesian and Northern that gobble it down as well. Very nice to know that if things (IF - - WHEN) things get hecktic, that they are still getting what they need nutritionally
