Good selection if you want larges washers
These are very well-made washers IF you need lots of larger ones. I won't use them often because I don't typically need ones that big, but when I do these will work very well.

Good value on shop-grade 304 stainless steel washers
Item description: 304 SST 304 SST washers 15mm x 5 mm x 1.2 mm 100 ctBrand: CaianwinItem: B0CSFKCDS1Date received: 2024-03-15Headline - Good value on shop-grade 304 stainless steel washersProduct Claims100 ct, 304 (European A2) SST washers, nominal size 15 mm OD x 5 mm ID by 1.2 mmstandard: (none specified)color: silverI received exactly what was claimed in the product description. They were shipped in a small hinged plastic box. The primary headline for the material says these are 304 stainless steel. The actual dimensions of one replicate are noted below. The metric hole is sized to allow the clearance passage of a 5mm screw, which means it is slightly oversized to that dimension, and that is in fact what you get. If you are using SAE screws, these will fit #10 or 3/16-inch screws just fine. The product description does not claim conformance to any specific standard, so I simply measured the basic characteristics of a single replicate below and leave it to the reader to assess their suitability for your application. These are stamped washers, with a slight crown to them at the circumferential edges at the "top" surface, and they could have a minor burr on the opposite side at the "bottom" surface. The item count was exact - I weighed 10 washers and then the entire set, and the count by weight was exactly 100. The washer dimensions, nominal and measurements of a single replicate, are shown below:Washer Count, Measurements in mm (inches) Nominal ActualCount 100 100OD 15 14.75 (5.81)ID 5 5.32 (0.21)Thickness 1.2 1.19 (0.047I can't assess the product claim that these are specifically a stainless steel much less a specific 304 alloy, but they are mildly magnetic, as would be normal for most 300-series stainless steel alloys that are basically non-cold-worked steel sheet. (Carbon steel would be much more strongly magnetic.)Why stainless? - stainless materials are not necessarily the highest strength you can find (carbon steels are normally stronger), but they are normally strong enough for most uses, and they will not corrode (much, some mild surface corrosion is possible). They provide a great broad-based solution for small shops.

Great for old Erector sets, and other similar mechanical construction sets!
Old Erector sets (of which I've a large collection) are almost always short or completely devoid of washers, a part that you need lots of in normal mechanical model constructions. These are a perfect substitute for any washers/spacers needed for sets that feature #8-32 (Old ACG Erector), 5-32W (Meccano, modern Meccano/Erector), or M4 (Eitech, Chinese Clones) fixings (nuts/bolts).I really like these for several reasons; 1) They are stainless steel, and won't rust like the older parts, 2) they are flat and 1mm thickness (and consistently such!) so are about the perfect thickness for spacing most Older Meccano strips and plates, and 3) at 12mm diameter give me a different diameter circle/spacer that can make up other sized pulleys, or edged wheels when used with the other sizes of the washers that come in the old sets, mostly 10 and 25mm washers. (AND of course are tons cheaper than attempting to buy "original" ACG Erector washers!)The washers shown in the pictures are for comparison and are as follows; Old ACGilbert Erector "BL" washer (era about 30's, they varied during the years), this M4 flat SS washer at 12mm d., a "modern-late" Meccano/Erector washer #38, a Meccano washer of Liverpool era #38 (era 70's, they tended to be always "dished").These are great for my use and I'll be getting more here on Amazon of various sizes. Recommended for many nut and bolt construction sets, but you might also look for some that are in the 10mm size which matches most originals better (though for my use these are prefect)!
