Well worth the money spent. Allows for more usb slots now that newer computers are downsizing the number of slots that they used to come with. No degradation in picture quality through hdmi, doesn't appear to slow down data transfer. Powers on with the computer it attaches to. Plug and play, no driver installation or software. I've only used on Windows computers, but I'm sure if whatever computer has a USB C, it would work. There are slots for charging devices. I bought a lot because there are a lot of employees needing to use it because their hdmi slots are not providing enough power to the output device they are using. They use a SMART board/tv that had a hard time reading the signal from the regular hdmi port. But once plugged into this hub, it had no issues recognizing it and broadcasting a signal.

This adapter is awesome! It works great with my iPad, it connects to connects to my iPad and i can charge my iPad at the same time with the extra ports! Definitely recommend!!

Works perfectly. I mostly needed it for the hdmi for a second monitor for the Mac mini in my studio. I tried two other devices prior to this one that were both supposed to be Mac compatible but the hdmi didn’t work. And I’m talkin bout some cheapo little doo hickey gadgets either. Speakon of hickey wonder how my ol buddy andy hickey is gettin along. I highly recommend this product. I will be looking at what else this company makes It works perfectly as it’s supposed to

My 7yr old docking stations for my personal and work MacBooks recently stopped working for accessory connections; presumably the firmware inside is no longer compatible after new OS installations. I bought this BENFEI USB C Hub 5-in-1 with 4K HDMI a few days ago to see if it'd work, and so far it's been able to connect everything I want: my camera, external hard drive, and iPod Shuffle. A very affordable solution!
