Miss Twiggley's Tree is an absolute gem of a children’s book! The whimsical story of Miss Twiggley, her quirky ways, and her treetop home is both entertaining and heartwarming. The book beautifully weaves a tale about kindness, acceptance, and how being different can be wonderful.

Older story that is a favorite from my childhood and also my kids favorite. I bought it as a baby gift. Story rhymes and is a pleasure to read.

The media could not be loaded. My 3 boys love reading this book about Miss Twiggley living in a tree. Fun story line. Great illustrations. My children love books that have rhymes.

Miss Twiggley's Tree is my favorite children's book of all time. As a matter of fact, I always keep a couple of extra copies to give as gifts. While today's kids might view the artwork (which is wonderful) and a couple of minor references in this book as slightly outdated, they can relate to the themes of shyness, being unfairly judged, and helping others in times of need. This book is written entirely in verse and is a joy to read aloud and to hear. My 6 year old knows the book by heart... probably because I have reached for it every time he has been undecided about his bedtime story. The book has a better message than most. I hope my child will always remember the last verse; "And Miss Twiggley found out something wonderful too. When emergencies come, you don't think about you. You help all you can and you never ask why. Then, the next thing you know, you forget to be shy"

I remember this book when I was in kindergarten. All of my siblings and I adored the story of Miss Twiggly, her dog Puss and the bears and it had been one of our absolute favorites. With the passage of time, we lost the book through various moves. It had gone out of print and was going to be expensive to replace let alone read to our own children. Thank goodness this beloved book is back in print and even available for the Kindle.The story is absolutely delightful and really delivers a message about understanding, community unity and pulling together in spite of our differences. This, in my view, is exactly the kind of message we need to be passing along to kids of all ages. In spite of this book having been written 500-odd years ago, the telling and the message are both timeless.The downsides of the Kindle version is you do have to read it in landscape orientation and I was unable to size the images / page. That might prove frustrating for younger readers or adults who are trying to read the story to kids or grandkids. I will most probably be getting an actual print version of this book so I can pass it along.

The book is in great shape!It was a favorite of our little girls!They are grandparents now.This book brings back sweet memories!Reading all about the author was a bonus! We didn’t have that in our copy from the 70’s!This was a wonderful purchase!Thanks!

This was one of my favorite books growing up. I have always given this book as a present to all of my grandkids ect.

This was my favorite book when I was a child and I pretty much have it memorized. Now I purchase it for all the new little ones in my life and make an effort to read it to them. Love the story! I would have loved to have told the author just how much I love this book! It is a sweet tale of funny Miss Twiggley and her dog named Puss. She was shy and hid from the town folk. But when a natural disaster hits the town, she is hospitable and generous. Good lessons for all of us! Hope you enjoy this book as much as I have!
