I really like the feel of this mattress. My hips no longer hurt so that is a plus. This mattress is HEAVY! I definitely needed help getting it on the bed. Do it’s a solid mattress. This is my first mattress in a box and I was a bit concerned that it would not “fluff” out. But it did. What I don’t like is that on one side, the mattress cover seems like there is a lot of space and it didn’t fill out completely. You can see in the pictures that the fabric is— mushy. So I don’t know if the mattress on that side is damaged. The other thing I don’t like is that I can’t sit on the edge of the bed because the mattress collapses, this is also on the same side that the fabric is squishy. For $1,500.00 I was really hoping I would have a great mattress, something that would last a long time. I wish I could see inside of it to find out if the mattress is defective on the side that did not fill out completely. UPDATE: after almost 2 weeks, I need to put in an update on this mattress. I don't know if I have a defective mattress, but I no longer believe this is a good mattress. In fact, I am finding it dangerous! The issue is the edges of the mattress. The other night, I leaned over to put my glasses onto the table and my body started to slide off! There is zero support on the edges! As I started to roll off, I tried to pull my body back onto the bed, but couldn't as there was no support! Lucky I did not crash on the floor! Several days ago, I sat down on a different edge and my body fell forward and down -- because there is zero support underneath. I've read many of the reviews and there are so many that are thrilled with this mattress, and not one mention with no support on the edges. So it makes me wonder if my mattress is defective! Additionally, when I am laying on the mattress, I must stay in the middle of the bed. Once I roll to the side, I start to feel as though I am rolling or leaning towards the edge! Bottom line -- this mattress is not safe (at least the one that I have). After reading all of the great reviews, I took a chance on this. Concerned that this mattress is going to be sucked into a box and shipped. I have learned, it is better to buy from the store and have them deliver - not stuffed into a box!

This is a horrible non-supportive mattress. I am a medium size woman (5'6" and 135 lbs) so not exactly big, my husband isn't overly big either. Unfortunately, we are past the point of exchange as my husband didn't mind it (but he's the type of person who can literally fall asleep anywhere) so I tried to make it work. But the more time passes, the more I loathe we ever bought it and replaced our very expensive ($3k over 12 years ago) semi-firm spring mattress from a proper mattress store. Make no mistake, this is a SOFT mattress - no support, you can't sit on the edge without sliding off as it compresses down like 5" or 6". Good luck if you have kids that sometimes sleep in your bed (as any parent knows you get relegated to a few feet on one side of the bed) - I literally have to put a king size pillow on the edge under me to just feel like I won't roll off because its compressed down so much on the edges. It even looks like it never expanded fully? Like the top cover is even loosely fitted (not like the pics). I am not someone with regular back pain and we are both in fairly good shape, but I've had to sleep most nights in a spare room (on a firmer support mattress) just to get a good night sleep because when I sleep on this one, I inevitably wake up with horrible pain in my hips (which I otherwise never have - it only happens when I sleep in this bed). It's so squishy I can only compare it to a collapsed marshmallow. I dread sleeping on it, and now we're out a huge amount of money. Save yourself the hassle and don't buy the marketing hype unless you are someone who REALLY loves a super soft mattress and needs zero body or back support. Ugh. My only option now is to buy another expensive mattress, or spend $250+ on an extra firm mattress topper that will hopefully compensate for the squish and add some stability to this marshmallow.

My experience with this mattress was very disappointing. After three years, it sags noticeably in the middle, causing back pain. Dreamcloud's warranty process is frustrating and unhelpful, leaving me with a $1,461 mattress I can't use.

This mattress is terrible. Don't waste you money!
