Oil free healthy Dosa for non south indians
I have been looking at multiple youtube videos and reviews on this product and thought I would give it a go.Not being south Indian, I have eaten many dosas at south Indian restaurants and tried to replicate at home.Just before this machine came my wife perfected making Dosa using the premixes you can buy. However, the downside is that whilst we are eating, she is cooking which is not fair. Also, the store-bought dosas sometimes have a sheen ie oil has been added and if you do takeaway you end up with a soggy dosa by the time you get home.We set up the EVOCHEF EC on our dining room table, the hardest part for me was fitting the blade, I was really frightened to push it and it is quite sharp.I had to slightly water down the premix and pour it into the reservoir. The machine tips the reservoir and pours the dosa mix onto the hot roller with it turning, after some time the roller turns again and your dosa falls out.The positives: we can all sit at the table and the dosa's just fall off the machine, they are nice and crisp and you dont have to use oil. if we time it right 6 people can sit at the table and be served in a timely manner with fresh dosas being presented. The machine just needs a wipe down and the batter tray is removable and easy to wash by hand. QR code printed on the machine that directs you to a video for initial setup. The negatives: Can only set 5 dosas at a time. The dosa mix congeals on the batter tray. No indication of where to get spare parts especially the silicone seal which is exposed to the hot roller. Initial setup video should show a closeup of the fitting blade. Lead can be longer. Massive price disparity between Indian Amazon and UK Amazon. No recipe link/ booklet to make chilla, crepes, liquid batter roti etc. A steel plate protects one side of the machine in storage but what about other side and top?makers should suggest using test to determine if batter is too thick or thin ie spread after putting it on a plate.overall this is a wonderful device and even with the negatives, worth the cupboard space.

Can not get hold of customer service.
I am now on my second machine. First one had a scratch on the drum. Last night was the second time of using it and tried crepes. I set the machine at the lowest temp. and timing but they were burning. I tried pressing the button as suggested on the website but the machine kept running until the full 60 seconds had completed. Although the crepes tasted nice they were paper thin and just fell apart. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong please? I have tried to send an email to the address on the website but it just bounced back as not known.
