2nd purchase. Easy, reliable and fast.
The fingerprint reader works very well. It’s faster than entering a combo and more fool proof. The fingerprint reader seems to be very accurate, judging by how it rejects your print if you don’t position your finger properly. You can enter fingerprints for multiple people and the logging will report who accessed the safe and when. IMHO, this is one of the best small home safes on the market. It’s not fire rated, but a really useful fire rating would make the safe much bigger and heavier. For its size and relative hardening, it’s plenty good enough.

Fast access, easy interface
Faster access to my forearm than my Barska safe. The LED tells me who opened the safe, and when. It logs access attempts, and the event (e.g. add user, change user name, open safe, door left ajar). It's whisper quiet. It's LED display provides a tutorial for how to add a user. It also allows you to practice adding fingerprints to ensure proper finger positioning. It has an internal lite that you can adjust intensity and duration using the LED menu . It comes with mounting bolts and hollow-wall anchors. There are two holes on the bottom, and two in the back for mounting to a wall and shelf. The bolts are acout 2 1/2 inches long (est) so I used a dremel to cut the bolts flush to the shelf underneath. It comes with an instruction booklet, quick start guide, batteries, and backup keys. Inside I fit an H&K P30 with Surefire 300u light, three 10-round mags, and 500 rounds of ammo and still have room to spare. Could probably fit another 1000 rounds, or 5-10 mags, or another handgun with it's mags. Good packaging, delivered without a scuff. The best thing is that the LED makes setup and operation of the safe super-de-duper intuitive I'm very impressed with this safe. I've only had it for a day, and will provide an update in a month or so.

I Verifi that this is a Solid Safe
The fingerprint reader on this thing does not miss. November will be a year and I haven't had to fall back to the key entry one time. It's spacious but small enough to fit on my dresser. I keep my pistols in there as well as important documents. The light that comes on if you have to open in the dark is a win also. I put the VAULTEK Modular Pistol Racks in there and they fit perfectly. Both my wife and I have stored prints on there. No malfunctions on the closing mechanism either. The instructions are easy to follow as well. Great buy in my opinion.

Reliable
So I have the S5000 and the S6000. I've had the 5000 for about 2 years. Just got the 6000. Never had a problem. Not once. These things are reliable. The fingerprint reader works every time. They're not fireproof. They're not going to stop a theif with a pry bar and a sledgehammer. But they fit perfectly on your night stand or in a living room cabinet, they'll keep your kids away from your guns, and when you're in a panic and you need to retrieve your side arm, you'll be able to get it quickly. The fingerprint reader works exactly as advertised. And you do not realize just how important that is until you have a break in. You can spend a lot less money on a fingerprint safe. There are tons of cheap options out there. But you get what you pay for. They may work and they may not work. You may have to go grab the backup key, if you can find it. When your life or your family's lives are on the line, why cheap out? What's your life worth to you? An extra $200? Just get the Verifi. I did my homework before I bought my first one. Looked at everything available. Went through hundreds of reviews. The Verifi is the winner and my experience confirms my decision.

Returned item
I like that is safe to use and easy access. It’s made of good quality. I don’t like that it is very easy to break in using a set of keys from Amazon. They should change the key entry system for protection. Other then that I received a used and returned product. I can tell it was mounted before me.

Love the safe
Biometrics work very well. Upgraded key is a great feature. Wish it had a touch of fireproofing but I understand it’s not practical when you’re looking for a small safe to fit inside a cabinet. Highly recommend.

Safety from little hands
Looks nice on my bedside nightstand. Good quality and features. Easy to program/ add users, and opens quickly! Not a safe/ fire safe, but will effectively keep curious hands out. Rugged and hefty. I secured mine to the wood nightstand, and secured both to the wall to prevent a quick smash and grab. Only concern i have is that the fingerprint pad/ handle looks like it could be knocked off with a hammer. But i chose this unit for over night child safety, and not as my main gun safe.

Amazing fingerprint reader
Biometric reader is amazing. Far better than anything else I’ve seen on the market. Doesn’t mess up ever with any of my fingers. Super easy to set up and navigate. I can see why the vendor indicates on their website that keypads with biometric readers are just confessions of a lack of confidence in your reader. You definitely don’t need a keypad with this thing. The backup key is nice but really is just that-the thing tells you the battery life every time you open the door, so if you don’t replace two AA batteries for the months that it reads between 15% and 30%, then you’ve got major procrastination issues that the vendor won’t be able to solve for you. Can’t believe this safe isn’t featured on more “top ten” lists, but most of those lists I saw look like they got written by bots anyway. Love this safe, can’t wait to buy their S7000 rifle safe when it’s available. I needed one to keep my kids away from my weapons because I know they’d figure out the keypad code eventually (they’re just like that type of kid). They’re not breaking into this thing without a drill and a few hours. Thickness is totally fine. Probably wouldn’t hold up long in a home fire, but that’s not what this safe is advertised or made for. Very happy with purchase and will definitely be a repeat customer.

Consider this a Lock Box as oppossed to a Safe
Finger print reader appears to be very reliable BUT you must position it very precisely and relatively firmly - it will direct you to move your finger/thumb up (or down?) if not so. When correctly placed can open the safe within a couple of seconds. So a bit of a learning curve here, especially if you programmed 4 of your fingers/thumbs & decide to randomly use a different one each time to maintain a learnt reflex when using. I found one of my thumbs to be very consistent. The construction of the 'Safe' for me is hardly high quality. Looking at the external fit & finish, it was substandard to me for the price. The door on my unit has at least 5mm of movement/play when closed (so imagine if it was placed in a windy area it would rattle). The finger print reader module housing also has a tiny bit of what I can only describe as possibly the tape that was used to keep the door closed in transit (as well as the bolts retracted) wedged b/w it and the door. The perceived quality of the metal structures fit and finish of this safe is the only real criticism I have here
