These Pass Through CAT plugs are easier to thread cable through, and crimp into place nicely. I take my time fitting them before crimping, and haven’t had a failure yet.

Used for my Cat 10Gbe re-wire these, in conjunction with a professional RJ45 crimp tool, made connections quick and simple. The feed through type need a pair of good end cutters to finish off. The cheap tools claim to do everything in once but I had little luck with them.

This item is for a pack of 20 shielded RJ45 plugs, rated to Cat 8. This review is for the "pass thru" type, so you have to trim the ends after crimping the plug on. Unusually, the plugs have an insert that your wires go into first, and then this is inserted into the plug, making it doubly fiddly. Not quite sure of the reasoning for this, other than to make a relatively straightforward task more fiddly. I do like the fact it has an easy to crimp shielding tag on it, which is far better than a lot of the ones I'd previously used which have an eyelet. Depending on the cable type, you will still have to wrap one of the wires around the shielding and ensure the shield tag crimps it nicely. I used these on some external shielded Cat5, and no issues running at 1Gbps over a 30m run. If you need shielded, whilst a bit fiddly in some areas, these are as good as any. If you don't need shielded, use normal plugs.

These connectors work well Good value Easy to connect up with cat 6 cable. Note that…. and this applies to all Ethernet connectors…. Make sure that the ends of the wires protruding thru the connector are trimmed really flush with the connector, else you may not get the “click” when inserted into the matching female connector. Poor quality - only 4 out of the 20 connectors were pass through! All the others were not!

I am no expert when it comes to making networking cables and have only made a few in my lifetime! The RJ45 pass through connectors are exactly what I was looking for to help with completing my cable setup at home. Installation time was quick for me because of the included instructions and the included load bars that make feeding cables through more precise and less chance of errors. I did not have to look anything up, the kit comes with everything I needed except the modular crimping tool which I already owned. You can buy them, they do not have to be expensive but there are some advanced tools that take the fun or hassle out of the process of stripping cables too! FatMax is a brand that I have seen on Amazon! The kit comprises of 20 Cat 8 Shielded RJ45 Pass-Through Modular Plugs with Strain-relief Boots which are to prevent damage or atleast provide as much protection as is possible. The metal grounded housing come with a metal collar attached to keep the connector secure as well as gold plated contacts which help to maintain a consistent signal path and less risk to damage or corrosion. For that reason I highly recommend this kit, it certainly is good value for money. I did look up video tutorials on YouTube so you can see how modular pass-through connectors with load bar support are an alternative to regular module pass-through connectors. To CJ who reported that they're not for cat8....there are two versions of cat8 cable and one has a thicker insulation and yes, will not fit this p/n 180121 connector...use p/n 180129. See my pic. The wire jig that's included for each connector is awesome. Initially I struggled getting the wires aligned and straight enough to enter the connectors but then I actually read the directions and discovered the little tiny jig that gets assembled inside each connector. The connectors themselves are great, and I had nil failures crimping solid permanent cables to keystone joiners. Users, make sure you take advantage of the rear cable clamp and have the shielding make full contact. I ended up heat shrinking over that whole rear clamp and opened foil / braid / drain wire for neatness. 10mm heat shrink by 50mm long.

Un producto que cumple con lo esperado. Lo use para hacer un cable de 30 metros y con cable utp cat 8 reforzado y los conectores no tuvieron problema para perforar los alambres. Como extra compre la cripadora qué recomienda el mismo fabricante y no tuve ninguna complicación. Lo seguiré usando para más cables qué tengo que armar ya que estos conectores facilitan mucho el armado.

Niet te krimpen met een knipex tang dus onbruikbaar. Krimpt op de verkeerde plaats. Nog nooit voorgehad met andere dus… vuilbakvulling.

Ça a toujours été compliqué d'attacher des câbles sur un connecteur, ceci dit je ne vois pas pourquoi j'en tiendrai compte dans la note car ce n'est pas propre au produit. Le produit est qualitatif, ca marche bien, et le débit de la Cat8 passe. C'est bien!
