Great performance from a small unit
Easy to install, only used HDMI (Arc) and a power lead so very little clutter with wires. Nice and compact that fits between the stands on a Q60 Samsung 43” QLED TV as a backup set up in a newly created snug. Good quality sound with it’s built in subwoofer, far superior than the tv speakers. It’s not in the full surround set up quality of higher priced multi speaker systems, but I’m impressed with it for my needs. Plays music directly from my phone via Bluetooth and switches on with using the tv remote, a benefit of using the arc connection. Impressed and happy with it considering its price, size and my expectations.

Big Sound - Small Box
Like most modern flat screen TV,s the sound quality from my new smart TV from the same manufacturer was somewhat disappointing and seriously need some help. I really didn't want a large soundbar or separate sub woofers etc so opted for this and am absolutely delighted. Great sound and easy to setup and use. If connected to a Sony TV you can put the remote control that comes with this in the bottom drawer and forget it. Just put it in auto mode for everything and that's it, which is exactly what I wanted. Just 1 tip before you disregard it's own remote and that is to deselect power saving modes else it will switch itself off if you haven't adjusted the volume for a while, but other than that it's perfect.

A good compact soundbar
This Sony compact bar was bought to complement a 43inch Sony TV. New style TV has very poor sound quality and this soundbar certainly provides much better sound quality, both for speech and for music. I would not describe it as a hi-fidelity sound but that is not the intention of this soundbar. It is a big improvement in sound quality compared to the TV speakers and makes viewing much more enjoyable. It sits in front of the TV and is quite unobtrusive. Very easy to set-up requiring only a power lead connection and I used an HDMI cable from TV to soundbar. An optical cable is also included but it was recommended to use an HDMI cable if possible. My Sky controller switches on both the TV and the soundbar, but I use the TV remote control to switch off the TV and soundbar together. Volume can be adjusted by either the Sky remote, the TV or the soundbar remote.

Fantastic sound for price range
The sound of this soundbar has greatly exceeded my expectations for the price paid (£129 on Amazon). As you would expect, movies sound tremendous compared to the sound from the TV speakers. But the sound quality when playing music (currently blue tooth from a phone) is really excellent.I have a Quad hifi set up in my main home, and whilst that is obviously better, the SF200 does not sound horrible in comparison (as I expected it to).The sound is really well balanced across the frequencies, and very natural in the Music setting.I have been listening in the Cinema setting. This is very slightly less natural, but gives a very dynamic feel and a wide sound stage.Am currently listening to Debussy's Nocturnes, and it feels like sitting in front of the orchestra, rather than a speaker. No doubt you can spend more money and get a better sound (my 5 stars is in relation to the price range), but if you are on a budget I can highly recommend this soundbar.

For the money, it's fantastic!
Audiophiles should probably look the other way, but for someone who appreciates decent audio quality but doesn't want to spend a fortune I think it's great. Of course the bass isn't as good as having a separate sub, but if that bothers you then buy a system with a sub, not this. The audio is loud, clear, and with enough bass for a full, well-rounded sound. It's a huge upgrade from the standard built-in speakers in my TV and I'm very happy.

Great addition to my Sony 43"" TV
Wanted to a sound bar to compliment my new Sony TV, so I thought I'd go with a corresponding unit. It work's a treat, I have changed the settings in my TV to tell it that it has the sound bar, so use the active sound from there. When I turn on the TV the sound bar comes on with it.Good sound from just a sound bar on it's own (no separate sub woofer) and easy connection to my mobile to play music from.TIP: Use an ARC HDMI cable, to link to your TV, as that will provide the two way signals that you need to ensure complete control from your TV

Great mid range solution
If you don't fancy using a woofer, but want a little more depth to your sound, this is a pretty good soundbar. 4 stars as it is not as impressive as a full sound system, obviously.

Good WHEN it works!
Disappointed. For a start, I have a Sony SMART TV but when I place the sound bar in front of the set , it covers up the sensor receiving instructions from the TV remote! I have thus had to move the sound bar a foot to the side so as to leave the sensor exposed. Looks stupid. Main problem, though, is that CONNECTION between the TV and the sound bar is EXTREMELY erratic and cumbersome. I connected the two devices using an HDMI cable (as I was sure the Bluetooth/wifi connection would be guaranteed to be unsafe and insecure). In fact, the cable connection seems no better at all. It takes an eternity for the sound bar to be switched on/replace the TV speakers and the connection can sometimes easily be lost. I had expected more for this kind of money, the fact the product is a Sony AND, as I say, my SMART TV is a Sony as well. Will certainly buy a new one in-store when I replace my TV in a year or so.
