great belts
Started on my project last year with one of these belts and they came through in the five projects that I have done. The one belt continues to go on an on. Im sure they will last another month. The best way to make your belts stay in good shape is to let the belt sander do the work and you will get a longer belt left. I have tried the others and this is the best thus far...will order more when I need them.........

These sanding belts are effective, last longer and are saving me money!
When sanding through old finishes, I found standard belts clogged up quickly requiring frequent changes. Somehow, these Norton 3X sanding belts pretty much refuse to clog making sanding jobs quick and easy. Even though the initial investment is higher, I find they last longer and save money!

join-tape keeps breaking.
Sorry Norton...I just want everyone to know, three of these Blue 3X belts just separated and came undone.I believe the Adhesive ( epoxy??) aged out and once I used them on 1 .5 wide oak strips, the Join-Tape adhesive separated. I just went through three belts.Maybe I can epoxy them back together with new Epoxy???I guess after a few months? years? the join tape epoxy gets weak.

The description says '3X 3" x 21" 120 Grit Sanding Belt - 5 Pack'This tells me that a pack has 5 items but that for the cost there are 3 packs.. ie, 3X .. This is not correct. You only get 1 pack.Product itself is good, but misleading on the quantity.

Best sanding belt
Tried many kinds of sanding belts but you can't go wrong with Norton belts. For the many they last. I use them on a Makita 3x21, an older Black and Decker 3x24, and a Craftsman 9" disc with a 48" belt.

The belt is holding up quite well as to the cheaper belts. I use these in my woodworking shop building kitchen cabinets with hard cherry wood that I plane down from rough sawn wood.
