I am reviewing the product "Suckoo Serial DB9Pin RS232 Switch Splitter 2 in 1 Out 1 in 2 Out" on 13 January, 2024. I would call this a "switcher" rather than a "splitter", but whatever you call it, it performs the job of selecting which of the two connected serial devices is bridged to the output socket. This is a sturdy, solid, mechanical switch that does one thing well. I employed this switch in my home theater rack, allowing me to select between a video and an audio switcher for connecting via USB-serial adapter, and then transmitting switching commands from a script. It worked flawlessly and exactly as expected. For modest switching needs, this item is suitable and recommended.

I have my piano and drums hooked into one laptop. I am now able to switch between the 2 different monitors in front of each instrument. This switch is very solid and works exactly as it should.
