great entry camera
Great starter camera for someone who doesnt know anything about photography, on paper the specs of this thing is amazing, and dont get me wrong, it CAN take amazing pictures, however it was a love hate for me with this camera, outside on a beautiful day you will get amazing pictures, but if you go inside or stand under shade the image quality does drop off a bit, BUT its perfect for family days out and holidays, it has an incredible zoom (x40 optical) and up to x160 with digital, i like doing nature pictures so for me image quality just isnt quite there but i will keep the camera for other trips out, the AA batteries it takes makes finding replacements so much easier than proprietary ones which are usually waaaay over priced because you have no other choice.

I was quite disappointed with this camera, image quality was sad it's got no filters I bought it because of the price but as they say buy cheap you get cheap, I wanted a backup camera that was low priced the only positive thing I can say is it looks OK and has a pleasant finish

Amazon return nightmare: a hassle I wouldn't wish on anyone!
I bought this camera for my upcoming holiday, hoping for something compact and easy to use. Unfortunately, it was a massive disappointment. No viewfinder, non-rechargeable batteries, and worst of all, it just wouldn’t focus. No matter what settings I tried, every single image was blurry. In the end, I decided to return it. My old iPhone takes better pictures, and I’d rather lug around my trusty old Canon EOS DSLR than deal with this. Now, onto the absolute nightmare that was the return process. I honestly want to warn everyone before buying this. Despite being a Prime customer, Amazon’s customer support was beyond useless. It felt like they were actively trying to stop me from returning the camera.I did everything right: filled out the form, printed the labels, and went to the post office. But since the camera includes batteries, they refused to take it (as per Republic of Ireland regulations). Fine, no problem. I contacted Amazon, and the agent assured me I could just drop it off at FedEx with the existing labels. So, I went to the nearest FedEx station... only for them to reject the package because they needed FedEx-specific return labels. FedEx told me this is a very common issue with Amazon. Apparently, they have people coming in every single day only to find out they need different labels to return their items. Another wasted trip.Back to Amazon support. Another agent promised to send me the correct labels within 4 hours. Till today I still had nothing on my email. I reached out again, and this time, the agent (initials SR) was beyond unhelpful. They claimed FedEx was wrong, that Amazon’s labels were fine, and even started telling me a random story about their friend returning packages with no issues. Basically, they implied I didn’t know how to return a parcel, which was both insulting and ridiculous. Meanwhile, every courier was rejecting the package because of the batteries. To make matters worse, SR then suggested I try UPS instead, assuring me the same labels would work with them. But after wasting so much time already, I wasn’t willing to take another chance on a failed drop-off. Instead, I decided to deal with FedEx directly. In the end, I had to open a FedEx account myself, pay an extra €60 to ship it back, and only then did Amazon reimburse me. I must say, FedEx customer service was excellent, helpful, professional, and efficient. Amazon could seriously learn a thing or two from them. The whole experience was a stressful mess, and I’ve learned my lesson. I will never buy any electronic product with batteries from Amazon again. It’s just not worth the hassle.

No view finder
The camera is let down with no view finder, this makes it difficult to use in sunlight as the display gets to the point that you can not see. It does take good quality photos though if this problem is not encountered. That was the main problem for myself because I was using it outside mostly.
