Great little device, sounds good, and is convenient.
So far I've had no problem using this. I'm able to charge my phone while using it as a poor-man's DAC to play music through my old stereo system. The connection is stable and I haven't heard any popping, hiss, etc. I know this isn't an audiophile device, but neither is a smartphone. This sure beats the hell out of Bluetooth though, and you can still charge your phone. I've been thinking of using an old phone as a dedicated media storage device until I get an actual dedicated one.The design is very durable and the components are housed in metal housings. Magnets are built into them which holds the two ends together, which is more handy than I originally thought. Old stereo systems can become a mess of wires pretty quickly and when you include a 2.5mm to 1/4" adapter to connect the old stereo-in plug to the amp it's a lot. This little device is perfect for my needs. I haven't noticed any heating issues but I have a dedicated amp. I'm using this as an adapter and I don't know how it would perform if you tried to power speakers directly.I think the value is great and the shipping was fast enough that I didn't move on to another project for a few weeks. It's a great buy and already paid for itself. I'm using VLC on my phone (free) to play my mp3 files, but you can use whatever you like if you don't care about owning music.

Does what it advertises, no complaints
Getting this adapter is an unnecessary necessity if you know what I mean. My old smartphone still had a headphone jack and a USB-C charging port, but hardly any new smartphones in 2025 have the headphone jack anymore -- I knew I was going to have to purchase this when I eventually caved and got a new smartphone. I do like that you can connect the two ports magnetically together, just to keep them more organized. The audio quality from the 3.5mm seems solid, but I'm no audiophile of course. The USB-C port for charging supports the fastest charging which is what I was hoping for. Can't speak to the longevity of the device as I've only had it for a few weeks, but it seems to be a solid adapter that does exactly what is advertised.

100 percent recommend for long audio sessions!
Whether it is in the car, office, or at home, if you use a 3.5mm dongle for audio these days, the struggle of running on battery because the ONE usb C port on your device is occupied by a dongle is infuriating. Magnetic charging is kind of a solution, but I like to avoid it when I can due to battery heating issues on some phones with cases. This device makes all of that go away. The DAC on this is not going to set the world on fire. It will drive most IEMs or car stereo systems. Don't expect audiophile grade audio here, but the value for money and the lifesaving feature of being able to wired charge and listen to music is amazing. There is no noticeable noise I can hear from the power cord even on sensitive IEMs, and that's what sets this device apart from other cheaper options. Good build quality that doesn't get hot while charging. 100 percent recommend if you're in the market for this type of dongle.

PERFECT !!!
This is a very hi quality product. Build is magnificent with all connections to very hi tolerances. May be the most satisfactory item that I have ever purchased. DAC is excellent. Matched with hi quality ear buds produces audio (music) on par with my audiophile dedicated sound system.

Keeps getting disconnected
Been using it only for four weeks by now, but it has started to get disconnected frequently from the third week ! I use it to play mobile games but it just doesn’t stay up long and goes on and off several times in between.don’t buy it.

Great Little Device For Modern Cellphones
Great Little Device For Those Who Own Late-Model Cellphones That Have Sadly Done Away With The 3.5mm Headphone Jack. I Purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ About 2yrs Ago and Thoroughly Missed Having a Headphone Jack For Listening To My Hi-Fi Music on My TIDAL Account. I Had To Resort To Carrying Around A Whole 2nd Device (LG V60 Quad-D.A.C.) Just To Listen To My Music. I Purchased Numerous Dongle D.A.C.s But The Downside Of That Was It Would Drain Your Device's Battery While You Were Using The Dongle D.A.C. At Least With This Adapter You Can Still Charge The Device If Needed and Still Listen To Media/Music.

Excellent SNR, pretty good sound quality
The sound from this DAC is a little warm for my taste. It's not as clear as the Google adapter that I had previously, but it still sounds good. However, the signal-to-noise ratio is fantastic. It's the quietest mobile phone DAC that I've ever used. With my sensitive earbuds, there is a very faint, although still audible, soft hiss. As a result, I can listen to music quietly and still have it sound really good - even while charging. If you're looking for an option that minimizes hiss, I think this is a very good choice.

Works just fine, and feels solid.
Recently changed to a newer phone that uses USB-C, so I had to replace my old lightning splitter from a different company.I've used it for a few days, and it has been working just fine. The audio quality is good, it plugs in snugly, and keeps the charge in my phone topped off while using maps and listening to music or audiobooks. It's also nice that since USB-C is being used by almost everything, it works for any of my passengers on a road trip if we're listening to their stuff instead. My cranky old pickup truck doesn't have a fancy infotainment system, but this lets me listen using my aux cable, keeps my phone going, and honestly that's all I need.It doesn't feel cheaply made...the connections are solid, and I feel that I got my money's worth out of it.
