Yes. I am 6FT with long arms and am slim. Went for Large, which is just about the right size

Pretty much just past your waste line.

Q: Would a 3xl fit a 55 chest

I am. 50 -52 and I got a 2xl and found it a comfortable fit. If you feel that a 3xl is what you need go for it. Remember if you find that it is excessively to loose you can always returning for an 2xl.
