Great adapter to allow use of older monitors
Works very well in converting a displayport connection to either HDMI or VGA. No issues with these, unlike some others we've tried in the past. All StarTech.com items seem to be spot-on in their functions.

Can't reliability display 800x600 at 85hrz

Does the job, but no dual output (so no VGA and HDMI simultaneously)
It does the job well as a VGA or HDMI adapter. I use it with my old Compaq W17q monitor which only does VGA.Its pretty much just plug and play, no power cables, drivers, or anything other than an adapter between your VGA/HDMI cable and the display port "PORT" on your Video card.

Parts arrived on time and worked perfectly

Worth the time and money
Just as expected and as described in the product reviews. Installation to usage time which also includes taking it out of its package perhaps 5 minutes.Even then I think that was too long. The adapter performed and is still performing like a champ. Very pleased with this purchase.
