Fun
My son (8) and I have enjoyed putting this together. The pieces fit together nicely but the directions aren't always the easiest to understand because many of the pieces are the same color so it's hard to tell when changes are made. They do alter the color but even then it's still tough to distinguish where things are in the picture. Otherwise this has been a fun build for us!

Fun little father-son activity. Fyi, batteries not included.
I picked this up on a whim, thinking it'd be something fun to do with my teenage son. He's an engineer at heart and grew up with a love for legos and building things. He has a real knack for it. Anyway, this little set caught his interest and we spent a fun afternoon putting it together. It was pretty easy for him but I could tell he had fun putting it together and playing with it when all was said and done. He's a little old for this class of toy so I don't imagine he'll come back to it often, but insofar as it afforded us a fun little project to spend some time together on, I'm grateful for it. The end result is a slick looking truck that you can control with a remote, or program with an app. Since he's a bit older and has experience with much more in-depth programming platforms, we stuck with the remote and didn't bother with the app (those tend to be hit or miss, anyway). In terms of quality, it's pretty much what you'd expect at this pricepoint. The ABS plastic pieces are sturdy and the electrical controls are "fine". Although the unit is quality and able to withstand toddler-grade obstacle courses, I wouldn't hazard a chance at anything that involves drops or jumps of any sort. On that note, Parents with younger children should take note that there are many small pieces that are easy to lose under your workspace. I should also mention that it requires batteries, which are surprisingly included. On the whole, if you're a parent or grandparent looking for something fun to park under the xmas tree for kids between ages of ~6-13, or maybe something fun for Daddy to work on, too, then this kit will do you right.

9 year old loved it
My 9 year old put this together with minimal assistance and really enjoyed the assembly and finished product. The parts all fit together well and nothing was missing. The car also drives easily and as expected. Some of the decals were a bit weird- but they're exactly as shown in the pics.Recommended

Best for older kids
Too complicated for smaller kids but works as a team builder experience. Until the kid gets bored with the process

Interesting STEM project for kids
I got this toy for my son who is almost going to 6 year old soon. Although the tile says for age 7+ but the box shows it is 6+ years old. If your kid loves lego's then he/she will surely love this. Although i want to remind you that it is not quick to assemble. It has lot of small pieces. The quality of this product is just like the lego brand products. However this product is not associated with the lego brands. The instructions are very clear, and it provides step by step guidance on how to assemble this car. I am still helping my son building this car. The car looks little smaller, it is a size of my palm. I wish they would have also included the size of the car in one of their image. I am still yet to explore the app and how to run the car through the app. Once I have that I will add that as well later. You do need to add batteries to the remote as well as to the car. It does not comes with any battery. Overall if you are fond of building lego's then you will really love this product. However if you want a remote control toy that works out of the box then this is not a toy for you. You do need a lot of patience to assemble this product.

Nothing is durable enough ….
… when you’re talking about five kids, two dogs and assortment of other pets and friends, running in and out of the house at all times. But this made most of the boys and some of the girls stop To help put it together and then play with it. Even the older kids who are too cool for DIY projects stopped and participated, even if it was just to give bad advice. It went together easily and is still surviving so far. In this house, that’s a miracle. I would definitely consider this for a gift whether you have a kid into rugged terrain vehicles. Lol 😆 or for someone who likes building projects. This was a smart project and the remote afterwards makes it really fun playing with it in the yard! Let me repeat, it should stay in the yard and not in the house.

Easy to assemble, snap together like Lego's
This is an interesting build it your self rc car from Nexbox. At first glance, as you can see in my pics, it look daunting. Hundreds of tiny little plastic parts in several plastic bags... oh my... how hard will this be? I was pleasantly surprised however. If you are familiar with Lego toys, or even if you are not, this will not be difficult. The large instruction sheet is short on words, but the pictures telling you what to do in what order are very easy to follow. You basically snap or push all those tiny parts together like a Lego set. No soldering, no screwing together anything. You do need LOTS of patience. A LOT!! Your child (or adult that enjoys being a kid) is not going to assemble this in an hour. Also, the box says 6 year old and over. I challenge a six year old without adult supervision to build this. I suppose there are kids that young out there that can, but this is more for an 8 or 10 year old and above. Once you patiently do put this together, it's a thrill to insert the 3 AAA batteries (not included) and the two AA batteries for the remote (also not included), and watch the thrill that it actual WORKS! The joy on the kids eyes that he actually BUILT a working rc car that works is priceless.I would recommend this kit for your up and coming child or grandchild engineer.
