Very good sprayer, but a few suggestions.
Iโve had a solo sprayer for years & recently purchased another for church property use. I find them to be well built and dependable. I offer a couple of suggestions however. First, there are no instructions included, although itโs fairly easy to assemble, it wouldnโt hurt to include a little one page instruction sheet. Two, itโs difficult to see the gallon indicator on the tank, as it is the same opaque color as the tank. Having the gallon indicator marked in black would offer a contrast, making it much easier to hit your tank fill mark. I colored mine with a sharpie.

Works
Works good, the hand pump is not bad but not great Make sure to clean it out before winter or gunk will build up when you pull it out in the spring. Wish it was easier to disassemble to clean up

The best sprayer I've ever used
After starting, decades ago, with a metal 2-gallon pump sprayer, I bought a Solo piston sprayer and loved it. Unfortunately the piston system wears and begins to lose functionality, so I bought the diaphragm model and love it. It has given me many years of dependable service. However, I'm getting older and the straps became uncomfortable on my shoulders so I bought a replacement "harness" with better shoulder padding and cross straps to align the shoulder straps. Problems solved and at age 72 I'm still going strong with it.

The weight
They kept the weight of the sprayer down, so when youโre packing three or four gallons of spray itโs still a tolerable weight. The sprayer arrived in good condition, added the spraying solution and went right to work. The he sprayer works great.

Comes With No Carry Handle & No Owner Manual
I use a backpack sprayer for applying herbicide on the grass fields both on the acreage where I live and at my investment real estate properties. This is an often used tool for me in the dryer times of the year. As is often the case, I lug the sprayer, filled with four gallons of liquid (or less) by hand in and out of my vehicle or short distances to a suitable (raised) place where I can place my arms through the straps and secure it to my body for operation. To my surprise, this unit has no "carry handle" for this purpose. To that end, how is one expected to grasp this thing and move it any distance in order to get it onto one's back? A sprayer filled with four gallons, or even a fraction of that amount, can be heavy and/or cumbersome to move while keeping it upright, without a handle. I currently own a comparable Chapin model that I need to replace. The Chapin has a plastic carry handle built into the unit. I assumed the Solo unit would have one, too. In addition, if you're looking for an owner manual in the box, forget it! They don't supply one, but leave it up to the buyer to download it instead. JUST CURIOUS SOLO, HOW HARD WOULD IT BE TO INCORPORATE A CARRY HANDLE INTO THE TOP OF THIS SPRAYER HOUSING, AND WHY NOT INCLUDE AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL PAMPLET INSIDE THE BOX? I haven't used this tool yet and I plan to send it back since I know the lack of a carry handle will be a game changer for me.

Easy and comfortable to use. Good materials, good construction.
Easy to use, well built, good materials. This beats little squeeze bottles all hollow. You work the the lever a few times (very easy, no strain, comfortable) and the unit sprays for a long time. Really, it is effortless and you can cover a large area fast. There is no leaking whatsoever. They could have made the various tips for the nozzle easier to put on and off; you have to disassemble the tip a bit and a simple screw on/off would have been far better. That said, I think there is only one nozzle you will ever need, the one that sprays a flat fan shape. Don't know why, for example, anyone would want to spray a _stream_ of weedkiller. I fill the thing with it sitting on a table so that I can slip into the straps easily and walk away with it instead of bending down to get into it. For what it's worth I bought a knockoff of Roundup from Amazon and it gives excellent results. That would be Compare-N-Save Concentrate Grass and Weed Killer. The products are virtually the same chemically.

Not happy with shoulder straps
The sprayer works good except for the shoulder straps. They are way too small and the sprayer just slides off of my shoulders. The only way I can use the sprayer is after I get it on I must tie a rope between the two straps at my chest to keep it from falling off.
